yeh probably would explain the plastic heating up and getting sticky.. they did do after markret ones for the BMW's... they were called high performance clutch bushings.. They were made from a some sort of self lubricating plastic. The should be no more than £5 for a set they were a couple of...
i remember this off my e36. its the clutch bushings.. IE the pivot which the pedal is on has 2 plastic inserts.. you can spray a bit of lube in there or get the replacement part from Ren...
My dad is worried about the price.... says its too cheap for what im getting and that there mustbe something wrong.. what online checks can i do against the plate to show its a genuine deal?
thanks
josh
Just done a RAC vehicle data check to make sure it checks out.. it does... do i need to do a HPI check? he says it comes with an HPI certificate (this is a dealer rmember) is it worth having an inspection done?
thanks
josh
Right now im in a strange situation.... im told by quite a few people thats its too cheap.... what inspections do i need to get done before going ahead with the purchase?
Right heres the deal... my names Josh.. (god knows why)
i had a BMW e36 compact till i rolled it over (in a chav stylee)
and im picking up a 1.4 clio later this week (mk2 ph2) im currently driving my brother 1.2 16v... what sort of power difference am i looking at? and as its an 04 plate what...
nothing wrong with making a 1.2 look like a 182. The problem is when adding crappy quality chav body kits.. least the design is tastefull when you put 182 parts on. exhaust looks decent you need to have the RS rear bumper though.... with the cutouts.. wonder if the spacing is exactly the same?
I would like a 1.4 what ins group are they? The auction is a decent one.. its the same one my dad bought a 03 Merc S class from... £35k... really good saving. you see what i mean..Im just thinking will i get any real savings from an auction or not?
I intend in purchasing a mk2 ph2 from an auction. Im going to look at brighouse car auctions soon. Im going to have about £4k to spend.. am i likely to get a decent example of a 1.2 with AC? say a 52 plate of something? what do i need to look out for as well.. anything i can easily check...
after reviewing the pics i am a fan of the seats and screen setup minus the dials.. but hey they serve a purpose.. just not my thing... sorry if i offended anyone.. ill say this. although its not my cup o tea at least the work has been done to a high standard not a crappy job...
yeh sometimes..... i just feel like tastefull mods should be the only mods... Just like cars which are slick looking... not like they have driven through a craft store...
as you stated these were added as options... talk to your reanult dealer. the current extreme models come without rear headrests. A less attractive seat coverings (same seats) as theyre turquoise. No rear speakers and no auto wipers/lights even though i understand yours had them due to choosing...
your wrong. the extreme is a lower spec to the dynamique.. it doesn't have auto wipers, lights and a few other bits... So they would come in as standard. Probably get an 03 plate... meaning about a year left on warranty
i think i will probably go for black to be honest.. I love the red the 17/82 comes in. Will the aircon add a lot of weight? and suck some power? Im hoping to go for a 1.4 but my parents don't trust me..
thanks
josh
After some consideration (after writing my BMW off) ive decided upon a 1.2 clio Mk2 Ph2 dynamique. Im planning on purchasing something with some warranty left and probably buying off a car dealer through auto trader. Im hoping to get one with climate control. Im considering different colours...
First part.... OMG... he was obviously fooling around and i assume he was insured? If not thats a whole new can of worms...
2nd part...... well....... Francais ;)
