Seen it happen when they develop a fault, check the power as said above to make sure it's not a loose connection. Second hand units are cheap if required. Could try flashing the latest software onto it and see if it cures it

My Megane with the same engine but the 7 speed box was in a main dealer for a clutch pack replacement under warranty, they didn't have the specialist tooling for it so i had to wait for that to arrive first, which surprized me, clutch packs must be fairly good in them!
