Loaded on the trailer yesterday
Set out today to swap over my pads to the DS1.11, put my track wheels on and load the car up for tomorrow
New track wheels. Genuine X65 Cup racer speedlines, quite a bit different to the 2118 you can buy anywhere
Swapped the pads over, fitted my Titanium...
I bought these years ago and I've had them in the garage since
MINTEX MDB2725 is just the pad shape. I'm interested in the compound but I can't find anything about them
A standard MDB2725 pad doesn't come with the expansion/material clearing groove. Which makes me think this compound used to...
Everyone paints me out to be some sort of pervert
I'm not, honestly
Not unless I can smell the fear from you, at that point you'll regret every single decision in your life. But it's too late, I'll go at you like a butcher with downs who's been limited to...
Started the evening by removing the bottom grille
My hole saw arbour was MIA. So had to improvise and make my own arbour for the drill. The 13mm nut centres on the bolt. Precision engineering
I bought some different bass ports on Amazon last night too. These ones that came with the BYC...
Pinned for when your car needs something and you're big hairy Harvey and wanting some care from us x
Also, I'm really starting to look forward to this now
The Clio is finally back on all 4 wheels and has moved
Last night @Louis came over to give me a hand and to bring me some parts
Before he turned up I got the oil pressure switch swapped out. Managed to steal one from one of the engines I have at work
After that we were off to a flyer as you can see... Got the upper rad support bolted in, it...
Yeah undo the 13mm nut on the selector arm
DO NOT disconnect it at the slip joint if you value your sanity 🤣
And when you're dropping the subframe don't clag the weight of the subframe on the shifter rod. It will bend, they're made of cheese
I thought I'd have a really relaxed day today, since it was raining again and I didn't wanna be out getting piss wet through
I started out running the car in gear, making sure it goes through them all. Everything went fine and dandy. I remembered to drop the passenger window this time too🤪
But...
Ah sorry, didn't realise it was Steve being a special t**t and dropping the hubs and shafts. It all depends if you've got PAS or if you've looped your steering rack/got a manual rack
If you've got a proper blokes rack with no stupid hoses it's a piece of piss
2 bolts out the balljoints each...
Why didn't you just unbolt the track rods from the hubs, take the 4 bolts off of the balljoints and then take the bolt out of the rack and column?
You could have left the shafts and hubs in the car
It takes me about 30 mins to get the subframe dropped out of my car now. It's a terrible curse...
I got the car started after fitting up a nicely freshly charged battery. The diff then immediately started turning, the Quaife wasn't this savage to spin both shafts that hard 🤣
That resulting in the car thinking it was moving, so it locked the doors. Something I had failed to realise, so I...
Doing some more bits
Started by stripping the discs off and giving behind them a check. The brackets @Clio_fool made me years ago are still absolutely spot on! Just need to clean the corrosion up a touch and spritz some ACF over everything
Started filling the gearbox oil
Ended up...
Aye she's got a bad case of the resting b**ch face
This was the other week, she went to jump on top of Jess' car and s**t herself when she saw me sat in it
