IIRC the cable throttle k4m were in the ph1's and as such you might have issues with the car side of the electrics (UCH etc.....), so might be best getting a later one fitted then seeing if its really necessary to bin the fbw throttle. Youll need a proper mapping session done if you change the...
Tw@t sounds a bit harsh... He was just saying what a lot of us were thinking!!!! Thats a shedload of cash to pile into a car before even seeing what its like on track in standard form!!!!
Id say its bang on price-wise. I paid 2k for mine on 135k miles and a few minor cosmetic issues with next to no service history and a rattly de-phaser. Id be asking 2.5 and be prepared to be knocked down to 2.2/2.3 (make the buyer feel good about getting money off), as its in v.good nick with...
As edde said, you need to make sure what youve got is working correctly before looking at spunking your hard earned on shiny new pads, discs etc..... Is the 'jumping' feeling only happening when you slam on??? If the ABS is cutting in, the pedal will feel like its jumping against your foot, how...
Mate, if youve got 10k in this car, £400 for a new box is well worth investing, as youll get no more than 3k if you sell the car. Id just get it running and use it as you wanted to in the first place.
Does the radio in Mk2's (182) just use a standard generic 2 pronged fork to unlock it and slide out?? I need to get the radio out of the dash to check the code on the side/ back to get a new radio code, but dont have any forks, do renault do them??
Big difference compared to the Piper cat- back for the 182?? I had a Piper on my st170 and was impressed with the note, Barely any difference below 3k, and a nicer note as the revs increased without being boomy or resonating..
Changing the angle of the carbs wont work......... They need to sit at that angle to work properly iirc.... the only solution on that front would be to shorten the upward section as much as possible and use as short a joiner as possible.....
Use bonnet raisers as a temp measure to get it to the new lockup, then sort the mani as and when. No bodged bonnet, you get the Mot, and it can be driven to the new lockup. Once the manis sorted, remove the raisers. Simples.
Open cone =More sound and will probably suffer from heatsoak
Aftermarket element in stock airbox= Little more sound, no increase in heatsoak. (often cheaper too..)
But its your money, so do whatever you fancy.......
Im on the stock airbox and filter. As I said, id leave the stock airbox where it is and fit an aftermarket filter element for a bit of sound. Something like this, im sure most of the manufacturers do similar ones to fit the standard airbox too...
Basically, without relocating the battery and ECU, youre not going to gain anything over the stock setup, a samco bend looks smarter and might possibly provide a slightly improved airflow to the throttle body, but open cones/induction kits/mop buckets arent going to do owt.
The guys that strip...
Haha, Well im currently on these. http://www.camskill.co.uk/m62b0s344p29642/COOPER_TYRES_CAR_COOPER_ZEON_2XS_-_205_45R16_83W_TL_ And theyre rubbish, especially in the wet. I thought the contis were OE on the 182??
£106 each on camskill for PS3s??? Bit pricey, no?? I had 17 inch GSD 3's on my ST170 for less...... Coni sport contacts are £84 each for 182 size...... they any good??
Im looking to re-cat my 182 and get a decent cat back exhaust. However Renault want over £1000 for a new one. How does this one seem??? http://www.cats2u.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=33140 ?? Ill probably be looking to run a yozza or BTB with it, anyone think therell be any issues with...
Have you checked the switch down to the right of the steering wheel is in the correct position??? Mine did this as i thought it was a similar system to vw/audi/skodas, you need to select the cruise/speed limiter before you can use it, youll know its on because youll get a green (cruise) or...
Id like it to stay OEM as possible, retaining the stalk functionality, just with a little more bass, id assume that replacing the rear speakers with something more bass orientated and finding a way to split the output from the HU to suit, would do the job...
