Few more odds and sods while waiting for parts to turn up. Omp wheel with momo boss installed, kept it black and yellow too. Also got a yellow tow strap and some carbon fiber washer blanks so need to get the bumper off again and get those on...
Fatty induction. Decided to tackle the engine...
As title says. Looking for a post coilover install alignment and camber check for a track 182. I'm in Hampshire and about two hours from MarkFish (unless anyone can recommend anyone closer to me) so tempted to take it there but had a few questions first...
Ive seen alot of people use camber...
I'm in the same boat as you. My towing vehicle would be my work van though and that's over 2 tonne so I would most probably be over. Think I'm just gonna get the test done. Otherwise I would be risking being over and getting done for it.
For the main line it in the same place down the passenger footwell and outside of the seats. If you remove the original plastic clips it falls down quite nicely and is hidden by the seat runners. Like Ben said once mine is sprayed I will be getting some sort of clip or sticky pad to hold it all...
When I did mine I undid everything apart from the ones that go to the spoiler. So that's the main connector in the passenger footwell, a sensor near both seat belts, the one in a the middle of the car, both rear lights and earths, the rear plate light, roof Ariel and speaker wires. Then I took...
was gonna say whats wrong, think only the 172's had a rear well. yeah i saw the rear quarter tar cba with that looks like a right pain to get at. ive got to do the roof yet.
Bit more done today while waiting for parts to turn up. got the brakes all bled up. took ages. i must of got a fair bit of air into the system when taking the calipers off and changing the lines. anyway got it all out and took it for a spin. took it easy to start with then gave it some hard...
cheers will look into the windows. took your advice and tackled the rear loom today. unplugged everything apart from the spoiler end then fed everything through the sides and managed to hide most of it. looks way better now. turned on the car to test the lights, and it started then died. my...
Feel like im hijacking your thread here :P yeah the mirrors are going yellow and the grill will go anthracite when i get round to those bits. just want to get it track ready and get it out before "summer" goes again. Ive jumped on the group buy for some carbon fibre door cards so need to look...
Bit more done today. Finished installing the new rear disks and pads. I couldnt get the 30mm bolt off that holds the rear disks on so had to buy an impact gun for that. Best thing Ive ever bought. makes everything soo much easier. Need to bleed the breaks tomorrow, think ive got a bit of air in...
Cars black. got 2118's coming in anthracite and a few odd bits in yellow. unsure on what to do with the interior color. I wanted to go anthracite but was told it would get very hot as im probably gonnna go the a/c delete and polly windows route so might go white. cage will be yellow though...
Yeah that was the plan. Bit worried about stripping it down and something going wrong. But my ocd is kicking in and the wiring is really starting to bug me. Wanna get the interior sprayed with a cage in the next month(ish) and wanna get it looking clean for it.
Car really looks great. Will be borrowing a few ideas for mine. Did you have to extend the rear wiring to hide it in the channels? Something I'm tackling tomorrow as it's driving me mad.
This is pretty much my line of thought. Dont want to be 'that guy' sat there for hours waiting for the aa to turn up after something has gone wrong and i cant drive home. And i want to be going to circuits a decent drive away. The van can tow it easy and ive got space for a trailer. And cba with...
Interested in seeing how many people make their track only cars road legal? I work in a van and have another car so I don't really need another car on the road. Was thinking of trailering the car to track days as the van is more than capable. (also if the car blows up on a track day i can still...
More progress... Come to the conclusion i hate sound deadening...
Painted the splitter too...
Front brakes are done, just need to wait for the rear disks to turn up then can do the fluid and go test them. Jumped on the group buy and put my name down for some flat door cards, so need to...
Mini update, Been on an ordering spree. Bc coilovers, top mounts and the whiteline rarb should be here next week. Also ordered the 2118's in anthracite wrapped in r888's (looking forward to those arriving). Need to order the brake ducts.
Brake parts arrived from RTR. HC disks, ds2500 pads and...
Im in the process of stripping out my interior and left with all the wiring etc. what can i do to tidy it up? would putting it down the channels to the side mean cutting and extending the wires?
Does anyone provide a stripping service to remove what I don't need. I don't have a clue about...
I will let you know. Probably looking to into getting some fixed backs, harness and cage fitted by a professional at the same time as i think its a bit above my skill set.
Managed to spend a day on the car. Got it off its feet and took the seats out and yeah they are pretty heavy so will be looking to replace them in the future. Got all of the trim and carpet out that I wanted too.
Then I discovered the joy of removing sound deadening...
Need to look into...
