Hi mate. Was good to meet you. Had great fun chasing you around Bedford. I was waiting for you to come flying pass me and outbreak me on that hairpin  what brakes are you running you were stopping seriously quick? I remember you said you had to run the 16's.
Yeah put the vids up mate...
The door cards are from a group buy on here from Bristolnate. I've just tucked them behind the cards for now. Once the cage and harness are done the next step will probably be fibreglass body parts and plastic windows so didn't see the point in wrecking these. I don't use the car for anything...
Few bits and bobs done before Bedford Monday. Given everything a tidy up and a few little touches.
Fitted the new door cards too...
Then this showed up from CMC. so naturally there was a rush to get it fitted (in the rain)...
BOOM!
Update:
Soooo driving up to the matey who was going to do some work for me the car died (3 times). Luckily i thought ahead and got a mate to follow me in his car with jump leads and every time it died we managed to jump it. Was very stressful but we got there in the end. He managed to...
I liked it. Felt very stable and safe at Thruxton (which has a lot of flat out foot planted corners). The one I drove was an automatic which I think let it down slightly. It didn't feel ready to go enough. I didn't get a chance to play with the settings though so it may have different modes (on...
I'm after the box in the centre of the upper dash in the pics below. Ive seen a few people using it in their track/race cars so must be something you can buy? Sorry if i nicked a photo of anyone's car :grimacing:
i did mine myself with minimal mechanical skill/knowledge. just take it slow and do it right. and when doing the rears don't lie under the car with your mouth open when you release the lines. you will get a mouth full of brake fluid and it really does not taste nice :mask:
thanks for the reply. looking again it says that on the 16 model. i would rather have a weld in cage though. i dont like the way the bolt ins stop short of the dash and ive noticed shells with welded in msa spec cages get snatched up quick
Next on my list for the 182 is getting a cage sorted but I cant decide on which one. For the moment I am just doing track days and the main reason for wanting one is safety and harness mounting. In the future I would like to race and obviously then the regulations come into play. Ive had a look...
Sorted out the insurance today. Drove the Clio to the garage to fuel up and check tyre pressures. On the way back got the battery light come on. Then speedo died. Then traction control light came on. Then started doing the infamous battery Is dying sound. So it's on a slow charge overnight. if...
Bit of an update. More interior removed. Passenger airbag out and more wiring hidden/removed...
Speed-lines on...
I wasn't happy with the way the front end was looking. So I got some new headlights, sprayed the badge black and restored both grills with some Auto Gylm polish. I think it...
that looks really smart mate! im thinking of doing the same for interior paint as paying to have a track car sprayed just seems like a waste of money tbh. did you do any sanding other than the cleaning or just go for it?
