Great that it's home and running. Hopefully you can do some light tinkering and, more importantly, just enjoy driving it after everything you've been through. Must have been quite a feeling to drive it again!
You've basically got too choices:
Once you have the body kit fitted, you can measure how much wider you need the track to be and fit ridiculously low offset wheels or massive spacers. If you can get the width right like that, it will give you the look, but the car won't drive very well.
The...
Couple of spots today. Can't remember the last time I saw an E46 M3 in the wild. I actually saw this one twice today. Middle aged bloke, covered in tattoos, built like a brick s**t house. Was driving it like a total helmet.
I hate to break it to the fat tub of lard, but he only has one supercar, and some would even argue that a GT3 RS is still a sports car like the other two.
A hog roast meant for 200 to feed 60 tells you everything you need to know about his physique :ROFLMAO:
It was fascinating looking around his cars. Quite a few of them had a few marks on them. It's nice to see that really, as it shows he isn't afraid to use them. So much of the stuff there clearly never gets driven, so it's nice to see someone that uses them for what they were intended - though...
Went to this yesterday with a friend who got some tickets through Alpine UK. Was quite enjoyable, even though I'm not a massive supercar/classic car addict. Lots and lots of very nice cars, and lots of very rich old men :ROFLMAO:
Harry Metcalfe of Evo fame had loads of cars and bikes there...
Yeah things like that are very much down to personal taste. I'm not a big fan of putting aero bits on Clios, as the benefits are usually pretty negligible (if there are any!) and I just like the simple looks when the body is pretty much standard.
You've done a great job with it though, it looks...
I must say, I'm not totally sold on the splitter or the cut down rear bumper but, overall, it looks absolutely epic. Such a top notch billed - you must be thrilled with it!
Sounds like things were pretty dramatic before you even started.
I'm fairly sure a Clio shouldn't be able to keep up with an R5 car 😂 Great drive mate.
Cup/non-Cup chassis doesn't really make much difference on the 197. It's only springs, dampers and anti-roll bar. Once you have lowered it, obviously it's just the ARB.
I often wonder, if you a put a journo in a 197 but told them it was a 200 Cup, would they really be able to tell the...
Well done today Nath, great result, and for Josh too.
Definitely taking it to the RWD boys - never seen so many Clios in the top 10 of the 2.0-litre class!
