Unfortunately I dont have any side on shots and its too dark now to get any decent pics. Ill get some full shots of the whole car tomorrow.
As for getting the torsion bar out of alignment, is there any way of fixing this without it costing an arm and a leg, or is it one of those things Ill...
I got my car lowered ages ago and its never sat level, i.e one side is higher than the other.

rick- by the metal bit i ment the floor
Ahh, I see. Forgot to mention that on the floor that I made, it slides under the back seats a little bit to keep it really secure. I put sound deadening on the metal floor and then left the...
What do you mean by the metal bit? I used the carpet as a template and then cut the wodden floor to shape. Then I just finished it with some acoustic carpet.

why would they look gay in southend?? some sort of spinners look gay thing there?
No, I just had to think of a town in the UK synonimous with cruising, so I came up with Southend!:)
Probably look cool in 24s on a Range Rover in California. Gonna look proper gay in 18s on a CTR down at Southend.
Err, dont do it. If nothing else I should imagine theyre a tw*t to keep clean.
As I understand it, there is some kind of crossover to split the frequencies between the tweeters and the door speakers. From looking at your other post about components, my advice would be to run some decent cabling through the doors and then power them by an amp. Better than hacking the...
Ok this isnt your usual whos the cheapest bollox...
My RT is insured until mid July with LV. This is my first year of insurance on the car so I dont have any NCD yet. I basically want to get a quicker car, possibly a valver or similar, but LV wont insure me cos Im 20. They will only give me...

dash = 10cm
Thats true, you can fit a 10cm speaker in the dash. But you can also dismantle the existing speaker for a handy tweeter sized hole.
pp - Where abouts in the doors did you fit 6x9s?
The speakers in the doors are 13cm. If your thinking about putting the tweeters in the mounts in the dash then theyre about 2.5cm across. Not sure which speakers youre thinking about when you say 4.5cm, unless that was a typo!

Rick - the tried and tested method is almost that, but use components instead of coax
Doh, I meant comps. Must have been having a brain lapse
Theres a tried and tested route for decent sound quality in a hatch, and that is to have a sub in the boot and two speakers at the front. Ideally you want the speakers to be co-axials, running off an amp.
Others will be able to fill you in on makes and models etc.
Youd definately notice it if it was one continuous mix. TBH, if Im saving a mix that I know Im gonna play in the car then I usually just store it as one big mp3 file. Only drawback is you cant skip tracks, but if Im listening to it in my car then I rarely do that anyway, I just listen to them...
It has some clips underneath it which keep it held onto the centre console. Got to be a bit careful when you take it out to make sure you dont snap anything. The gaitor that I got is a very tight fit around that plastic surround bit, but it goes on eventually.
Heres some pics of mine as promised. Im not sure who the gaitor is made by, cos I bought it about two years ago!

The second pic sort of shows the plastic surround that is there from the orginal gaitor, the new one just...
