Interesting comparison. I'd agree that the 7D takes the lead for photos, and the argument fo the screen for video is fairly nonsensical as any handheld video from a DSLR is horribly shaky.
The 1D range would probably be the exception to the rule for me in terms of buying a second hand body...
Nick, was your 1DIII also 2nd hand? I'd be reluctant to get a 2nd hand body as problems are not so apparent but have gone through loads of 2nd hand glass without any problems.
£750 for that lot is good value for money. I'd be tempted to hold out for a similar package for the 50D or if you could be bothered, buy that one and then sell off the 40D and other bits that you weren't going to use to make a 50D cheaper still.
The screen of the 40D was one of my pet hates...
Looks like a bath with wheels, seats and an engine! I would have thought that the aerodynamics would have been better with a cover over the rear though, but then I know nothing about airflow etc....
I'll have to find a good excuse to take mine out sometime to try it. Just out of curiosity, do you have a shot that was just using natural light with no flash? I'd love to see the difference the flash makes to a shot.
Cheers, Andy
Are you using CSS? Dreamweaver is a royal pain for editing pages with CSS IMHO, so much so that I am now using Notepad(++) instead.
Can you host the page and let us see the code? Might help identify the problem.
Looking good. Didn't realise you had changed cars!
I got an Tronix powerpack with my lights but haven't used it yet. How many flashes can you get (and at what wattage?).
What sort of video from what camera? 1 hour continuous or various clips?
1 hour continuous could be a problem as (depending on the camera and type of video you are recording) the file size can never be larger that 4GB due to the FAT format of the cards.
I shot my first wedding a couple of weekends ago. It was one of the hardest days work I have had for a while and I have a new found respect for the pros.
I did a fair amount of research beforehand and looked at a lot of other photographers portfolios and one which really stood out from the...
I have just played this on the G25. Soooo much better than with the rumblepad! Its a great game, even with the bugs. I'm looking forward to the patch though!
Its interesting to see how many people are using them for their video capabilities. Some of the rigs that I have seen people using are insane. I have not really scratched the surface with the video on my 5. Without slides/ tripods or a rig, the videos suffer from quite serious camera shake, in...
