Cheers. No hurry on the shots, my pockets will be empty for a couple of months before I can get another purchase in. Thanks!
That is really kind of you to offer, thanks! Sadly, I am over in Holland, otherwise I would pop over to a track sometime to find you. If ever you come to shoot at...
Good to hear that the quality and AF were still good. I have seen quite a few people who prefer the Sigma/ Tamron converters over the Canon ones too. 1.4 will always be better quality, but 200-280mm just seem like a decent enough jump for a couple of hundred quid.
With 21MP there is always...
Are these with the 70-200 & the converter? Very nice shots.
Are you able to post a link to a 100% shot taken with the converter? I have just bought a 70-200 and was thinking of getting either the 1.4x or the 2x but have read mixed comments about image quality and autofocus performance having a...
It is over 12 years since I last developed a film and I can't remember any of it! I was looking at 2nd hand film SLRs a couple of weeks ago with a view to getting back into it, but decided that it is just so much easier to stick with digital.
I did love the darkroom smells though. :D
Film...
Very true. I just bought a new lens yesterday and have been digging around trying to find filters today for it. 77mm filters get pricey, and there is no point in scrimping on the filter when the lens is $$$$!
Another useful tool for the PC for your jailbroken phone is iFunbox.
It allows you to browse through (and modify) the entire file structure via USB cable, as well as having a simple drag and drop interface for wallpapers, ringtones, your music and you can also use your phone as a mass storage...
Embed some on the page and you'll get more feedback. :D They look like nice sharp pics though.
How are you getting on with the D3000? One of my mates was looking at getting one soon, but was torn between that and the D5000.
Flashlight - turns your screen on extra bright, better than the app store alternatives.
Miwi - turn your phone into a wifi hotspot. Also enables tethering.
Sbsettings - shortcuts to control all the phone settings (3G, push, gps etc)
ibluenova - full Bluetooth functionality.
Mxtube - save...
Re: iPhone "must have" apps?
I just got a few more handy ones.
Cardreader - take a photo of a business card, it then imports all the information into your contacts. 99% accurate too!
Flighttrack pro - see what times planes are taking off and landing. Good to know if your plane is delayed or...
You can use VMware to do it on a PC, you just end up running a virtual machine with Snow Leopard on it.
I tried somebody else's custom firmware and got a load of error messages in Cydia from the repositories that they had included, so found a way to make my own. The Pwnage tool from the...
You open it with notepad and see if there is an entry that has google in it:
# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.

# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each

On the iPhone yes. MyWi is the app from Cydia. There are free alternatives for Nokia etc.
The downside is that it eats battery in no time, but you aren't likely to be browsing for a couple of hours anyway.
You'll probably get more selling everything separately rather than as one job lot.
The priority should be to get rid of the 40D and Grip ASAP. There have been rumours of a 50D replacement for a while, and as soon as it appears, the 40D price will take another hit. The new model may not make...
Agree 100% on both. George Hotz would be a millionaire by now if he had charged $10 a go. I'm curious how much he has made from voluntary contributions.
They are not releasing it as they are presumably hoping that the same exploit can be used in 4.0.
The various forums and blogs make for amusing reading at the minute. Full of people begging and slagging off the various JB developers as they will not release a break. Almost as if they are...
