I'm staying away until the dev team confirm they can crack it. I like the JB features too much to be without.
The only new features that sounds useful to me are:
Use Voice Control on iPhone 3GS with Bluetooth headsets
Organize Apps in iTunes
Option to "Save as new clip" when trimming a video...
There are some new Canon walkabouts coming. I went for the 24-105 and would not be without it. I use the long end more than the wide.
New Canon glass (should not be silly money):
EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM
EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
Both are IS which is pretty useful on a walkabout...
I drove through Stonehouse a couple of weeks back for the first time in 10 years.
@R20 CWH, they were more likely to be burning in the Stonehouse in Gloucestershire TBH mate!
I get 15mb down and 5mb up on wifi on mine all round the house. The laptop does get more but it on wireless N. I had a problem with my old N82 and wireless when the router selected certain channels. It might be worth manually setting the channel on the router until you find one that works for you?
sbsettings is the most used of all Cydia apps for me, its really handy to be able to turn off Bluetooth/ wireless/ 3G/ push email easily when you don't need it, as well as kill running processes that also take up battery life. Appsync is also useful.
For the cost of a top spec laptop, you are probably better off getting a good spec desktop and a notebook/ simple laptop along side it for travelling with for the same price I would have thought?
Unless travelling and gaming is your priority of course.
I use http://www.justhost.com/. Navigate away from their order form for a "special" promo price.
Edit : Discount code is "50OFF", then you get a $2.95 per month price.
Re: iPhone "must have" apps?
^^ seriously? It lasted all of 2 minutes on my phone!
I added "profanity" to my app list today. It's good for some random insults when you are short on inspiration.
As has already been pointed out, you have already reached the dizzy heights of being commissioned to do work, getting published and having some truly amazing photos in your portfolio. I can understand why you feel need to take a step back and not pick up the camera for a while.
The good thing...
For the same cash as the 5DII, I can probably get the 7D with a 100-400... I have never used full frame so don't know what I am missing I guess.
I'll make my mind up in a couple of weeks. :D
That was still the Beta model though. I have cancelled my 5DII order and am waiting for production reviews of the 7D before I decide which one to get.
I just can't decide whether the better AF, remote flash are worth loosing full frame over.
I am also hoping I can get as good a deal on...
