You have a 430EX too don't you? Might be worth boosting the power right up on that if you can't get enough light in the 70-300, just to help freeze motion. It depends on how far away the players are of course.

I saw a Panamera at the weekend for the first time. Looks okay from the side and front but the rear end is the real let down. Awesome collection of cars up there though! Nice snaps too.

Yes. They are good lenses and are surprisingly solid. Given the choice again, I would have chosen the Sigma 10-20 over it as the extra 2mm in the wide end make a fair difference.

I had a pretty good success rate with one at the local circuit. If you are catching the cars in the same spot, most of the time you can get away with not turning it.

CPL (Circular Polarising Filter) is useful for eliminating reflection in windows. They are a bit more pricey than the UV ones though.

My 12-24 doesn't work too well on the new camera. :(
