In order to use the modded firmware, you had to already have a jailbroken phone. It was a way to upgrade to 3.1.2 without changing the baseband. If your phone already started as 3.1.2, then it is not an option for you. (I think!?!)

So glad that I just used the modded firmware instead of blackrain TBH.

I've had a brief play on one and the screen felt pretty responsive TBH. It was not far off the iPhone anyway. They are pretty chunky though.

Are you buying in the US? It would be cheaper over there wouldn't it? I would go for the D90, but that is just because I have upgrade issues. ;)

We use one here but it is an app from a Dutch telecom company. It uses a subscription from your own phone and is linked into outlook. Pretty handy.

Just check the weight rating of the tripod that you are getting. I had an old Jessops one and it could just about handle my 40D with the 24-105 on the front but only if everything was a tight as you could make it. The only way to take a steady shot with it was to use the self timer on the camera...

It is an okay game, but I found it very linear... a bit like watching a film and being able to shoot at the screen.

For the flickr address copy, you have to go into the "all sizes" screen to get the option to copy image location. It wont work from the intial screen for me either.

If it is jailbroken yes. There is an app in Cydia which stops it. I can't find it in Cydia right now though.

I'm suffering from lack of tripod syndrome. That's my excuse and I am standing by it. :)

It probably could, but if I am going to upgrade, I want a decent jump in performance and for it to remain usable for a couple of years.
