This is the key factor of high ISO. Expose well and noise is kept minimal. If all else fails, just use NoiseNinja afterwards.

A mate of mine has got a N900. It seems to be an awesome piece of kit but is pretty hefty. I dont think they are being released for a while though.

Canon 1D series is "weather proof" and built like a tank. The range starts at over 3000 new but there are some second hand bargains to be had. If you want a water proof compact, I remember seeing something from olympus a year ago advertising a camera that was waterproof to a couple of meters.

Scratch that... some programs disappear when you rename them and you have to re-install them. Shite app.

I found a way to rename your icons. (There may be others?) Add the repo http://cy.sosiphone.com/ to cydia download "rename II" Handy for some.

14 & 15

Be aware that the 10D will not accept EF-S lenses from Canon. Most of the cheaper (consumer) lenses designed for Canon digital SLRs are EF-S which means that you will have to use the EF range instead. Not a disaster but something to be aware of.

I think assisting would be great fun to do. You still get to take a load of pictures without having to worry that you are screwing with somebodies memories. I am not sure I would book a DJing photographer for a wedding though... I'd rather have somebody who specialised in one of the two. No...
