I can't see why anyone gives a sh*t what people think of their car, I just tell people I have an old 2.0L Clio when they ask, no one's going to be impressed by a Clio regardless of how good it is so I don't bother trying to explain, 'but it's a fast one and handles really well so it's no just...
I know what you mean, i've had so many good memories in my car, it's been very reliable on the whole and has mods i'm happy with so I wouldn't want to get rid of it either, plus if the engine blew up i've got a whole forum of mates that would help me drop in a replacement so i'd only really have...
I'd say if the cost of dropping another engine in is the same or more than buying another 1*2, it might just be worth cutting your losses and getting another car, at least you can get a few hundred quid back selling the Cup, even with a buggered engine.

Is it the fact you can't get to it because the other bolt's in the way?
Or lack of, but there is something addictive about a raw little car that feels like it's going to drive itself apart, Ron will come back too, just a matter of time.
Tbh if something catastrophic happened to the dog kennel i'd probably get a sub £1000 T5 estate, plenty of room for the dog and an engine you can get power from without spending a fortune, plus I could park it anywhere and not give a f*ck if it got keyed or dented.
Be on the look out for a Cmax and an estate in the supermarket carpark and point them out to her, let her figure out she'll essentially be driving a big f*cking minibus.
I'm on my second gearbox after the first one shredded itself at 70mph, I learnt the hard way to check the box oil every now and again, it had all leaked out the selector shaft seal, the replacement leaks too but gets topped up every couple of months, thankfully the engine's as strong as an Ox.
