I'm sorry, but I dont think that there will ever be many people in the world who will say that they like the looks of the X6! People only buy them to have the newest Chelsea tractor on the local school run, IMHO.
Lighting is one of the most important parts of the shots as well as the poses. Definitely worth reading up on in advance.
Lull her into a false sense of security before going in for the "special" shots which you can then post on here. ;)

The numbers go up for each camera except for the pro bodies. i.e.

Most people who shoot indoor sports use a minimum of a f2,8 lens, aside from buying faster glass or the use of a powerful flash if you weren't behind the perspex, I wouldn't know what to recommend...
The grip was not about the battery life for me. I am just using the one. The 40D can take so many shots that I have never needed to recharge halfway or think about buying a 2nd battery.
Ergonomics are the big improvement for me, it also does not weigh much at all, despite how it looks.
Tried one but could not actually get used to it. Colin Mcrae Dirt was more a game of pinball with the car bouncing off the side rather than a driving game.
W00t! Just arrived and I love it. Makes the camera nicer to hold, especially with a heavy lens on the front. The portrait shooting is also nice.
Should have just bought a 1DIII to start with TBH.
