thats the cheap belt on show at the bottom left of the engine bay right?
yeah i thought it might be :/ cant really be arsed with that going to be honest. i take it the scrappy would be the best bet for a new one ?
coilovers mate ;) 3 people in the back, no movement lol
looks alright though mate, dont think black alloys will look right, maybe white or gunmetal grey or something, needs a stubby arieal
oh....and the vauxhall is horrid
exhausts always let out water, normally evaporates when driving. your car might be making more than normal but i wouldn't be overly fussed by that. you might just be noticing because your looking if you get what i mean
if the engines still smoking i would go back to the garage, if they haven't...
i have AP coilovers, rate them extremely highly. the guy who fitted them with me has a track car Evo and he was impressed.
i got them for £220 second hand. or there about £500 new
basically a few days ago my car developed an odd squeeky noise, i dont really know how to describe it, sounds like a belt rubbing or something ? any ideas what that might be
also this evening i kept getting funny smells, a mixture of burning and egg. thought it might be the Cat but it comes...
ph2 will fit in a ph1, only issue is the electrics wont plug in. by issue i mean you will have service/airbag light on on the dash. but who cares.....
and i would be fairly certain that the seats are the same weather its a 5 or 3 door mate. i cant see them making loads of different rear seats...
different connectors so they wouldnt plug in, resulting in the airbag/service light coming on. would need resisitors somewhere is suppose to fix that.
only other thing is, you have a ph2, if you put ph1 seats in it, they will fit but the wires are diffferent and dont plug in so will need...
service and airbag light being on could be a number of things. it is also unlikely to be a failure, mines permanantly on due to my seats and it didnt even get a mention on the MOT. it could be the wiring for the seats has broken somewhere/sheared etc etc which would cause it to come on.
as for...
yes they will be on all the time. does it matter ? no
if it really annoys you then buy some little resistors and tape them in the plugs to turn the wires off, theres a guide for it
with a bit of luck it will hold out long enough for me to get something on a part exchange from it, the cars in surprisingly good nick considering the miles
im buying a sport in just under a year which is when i can afford the insurance, so its literally gonna last till then. if it does die but last long enough ill just make do without a car for a bit, or maybe fix it so i have something to part ex
this was my kind of idea. if all thats going to happen is the engine will be screwed then i would just run it till it dies then replace the engine seen as how there so cheap.
with a bit of luck it will last a year and then its not my problem
apart from having them done at the correct mileage, is there anyway of telling when they need to be done ? or should i just look at having it done. pain in the ass, dont want to spend to much on it as i know im going to be selling it soon
mines not even a sport so if it comes to it an engine swap may be cheaper for me. car only has to last another year or so so ill get my mechanic friend to have a look and see what life he thinks everything has left in it. ill try and avoid changing the belts if possible
i dont cover a very...
dr rollo yeah thats close to me. but christ thats more than i was expecting, i could buy a new engine and have it fitted for close to that
im selling the car in about a year, would the belts hold out till then ? ill have to check what paperwork i have but im fairly sure i dont know when they...
was about to ask this myself really, sorry for the thread steal.
my cars done 135K, when i bought it a year ago the garage did a basic service on it. when should i be looking at changing filters etc ? and is there anyway of telling when the belts where changed last ? i have minimal service...
yeah i wouldnt worry about it, all cars sit slightly off. the fuel tanks on the drivers side which obviously holds some weight....not sure where exactly the gearbox sits
light tints on audis ? my dads is limo black glass, literally cant see in, personally i finds it depends on the car. if its a light tint it will prob looks alright....pictures
it was fine before he reversed into me, all it hit was the plastic bump strip on the rear bumper.
when i get some time ill take the boot cover off and have a nosey
