It has yeah (well it displays R-Link on start up and in the top left of the screen?)
I have a split obd lead on its way today so I can make the cable that allows communication with the headunit.
DDT4ALL I have a copy off but not the correct lead, Renolink should do the same considering...
Been a little quiet on the Clio front. I've got a few bits I want to do but I have given it another oil and filter change. I need to revisit the front end at some point and add ducting for the rad and intercooler. Id also like to get some cold air fed up to the filter. I'm not too keen on the...
Not had much chance to play, but have a done a few draggy pulls on the Clio this morning on the way to work, fresh air giving it some boost. Not too bad I don't think?
Nothing was flagged up, torque comes in nicely and isnt overly high, it could have pushed loads more, but itd have been a pig to drive quickly. So hopefully the clutch packs are well within their working limits
Wouldnt have been wise or safe to do a pull without a map on it. youll need a hybrid of some sort on there to get 280ish, i think the stock turbo is maxed out near 250.
No you will need the complete 172 upper engine mount, the gearbox mount that matches the gearbox you use (if 5 speed, you can use a modified 172 dog bone mount)
Drill the block and add studs
I used a DCI box, i cant comment any more than that.
No the GT turbocharger will not fit the manifold...
So if any of you are wanting a discount on Forge Motorsport products I've got you covered
Use the code "ADEYSPEC10" It gets 10% off Forge products excluding any brake components, product fitting, and remaps (y)
all the answers are there if you look, it depends on how you want to go about fitting it all tbh.
Engine mounts, no in a nut shell. You need the 172 cam cover modified to fit and the upper mount on the f4rt engine. Then if you use the 5 speed box mounted on it you can use the 5 speed gearbox...
Indeed, I popped a f4rt (304bhp in the end) in a 1.2gt twingo. If you search my threads you should find the build one. I tried to cover as much as possible in there, i modified the engine to accept a 5 speed also (y)
Pump housing was whipped out this afternoon. It does require a little angle grinder action to make space (I need to revisit this to tidy up and make/buy a new inspection hatch) removed, stripped it down, and then rebuilt with the sytec fuel pump. I'll do my "check over" of the car tomorrow and...
So..... Slight over sight on my part. Its been advised I will need a fuel pump. Race on, sytec ordered and hopefully it'll get here with enough time for me to fit it before mapping Wednesday.....
Last peice of the puzzle knocked up by a mate today. 3 inch turbo intake pipe that has the factory recirc, crankcase and boost control solenoid take offs added. Need to give the car a once over this weekend and replace an exhaust clamp but it looks like we are now ready for mapping 👍🏼
