To be honest I would have thought that most normal road tyres perform badly in snow, hence why out pathetic country grinds to a halt after an inch of snowfall, but would've though tyres with deeps tread blocks and water channels would be the ones that would be more likely to dig in and "grip"...
I'd wait (for the one you have already ordered) if I were you and fire a few f**ks into them for their disgraceful service (see what you can blag!). 11k is a good deal brand new so the amount you lose shouldn't be horrendous.
Plus, no-one knows what the mk3 RS is actually like to drive so it...
lol! you didn't specify if it was a half decent 182!
Oh, and if it did indeed give 202bhp then that would be pretty good value for money IMO......but a few who should know what they're talking about on here have suggested it's very dubious.
I would've thought that there wouldn't be much in it in a straight line until you get to say 80-90mph, but then I think the extra power of the cooper S would show.
Handling wise I think it'd have to be the mini from what I've heard, but I've not drivenone like I have a valver.
<<<she's obviously noticed my description then!
I really love the colour and went out of my way to get one, but obviously not going to be everyone's cuppa. It's a colour of many guises!
Anyway, I like baked beans!
Do the throttle bodies get enough cold air?
I'd have thought there'd be quite a bit of hot air flowing out of the back of the radiator once you're on the move, or does this not really cause any problems?
I didn't realise they all had sunroofs - my bad! Mind you, mine was a phase 1 (92 K-plate) and has an electric one, so maybe this was an optional extra.
I would disagree however that they will be no worse than any 10 year old car. There are a lot of cars with much better build quality that...
Exhausts aren't loud - some of them just silence the sound of the engine more than others!!
I don't see the point of a loud exhaust just for the sake of making more noise, but if the extra noise is a by product of a more free-flowing exhaust, giving more power then fair play.
I also like...
I like white valvers too but there's something not quite right about that one (sorry!). Doesn't look quite as nails as a normal valver. Think it might be the wheels.
Saw some of these on a silver end of the line type special edition Clio in Henley yesterday. It was a 55 plate driven by some old grinner with his mrs, so I'm pretty sure he didn't put them on aftermarket. It also had what looked like a smaller version of 172 alloys and a shiny, visible rounded...
I cleaned mine today too - took ages.
Meguiars tech shampoo, followed by the tech wax. Looked mint for all of an hour before it started pissing it down lol.
Never mind, at least it's protected by a nice layer of good quality wax which was the objective!
I had both at the same time for a bit and the the difference getting from one into the other was always massive. This could have been partially down to the fact that my 16v had a decat and lightly-silenced exhaust so was pretty loud, but really feels a lot rawer in terms of steering...
Go for a 2.0 hybrid if you are worried about modding a Williams. These tend to be quite well looked after (or the ones on here are), and a lot of the components (driveshatfs, clutches, pumps etc.) are often changed when the engine is.
I switched to a 182 from a valver, and whilst I never had...
Mk3 is the one thats just come out. 182 is Mk2 albeit slightly facelifted.
I just don't think the 182 is a car that accepts visual mods very well, but I'm sure someone could proove me wrong! As said, wheels can make a big difference and sorting out the double peashooter at the back!
It should rev to 7250rpm when fully warmed up.
It cuts in early when the car isn't warmed up enough as a protection measure. Think it works off the coolant temp?
Wheels look plenty big enough IMO. I don't really like it in general though.
And what's this about the new engine will just be a development of the existing 182 engine? Surely there's not much more power to be squeezed from that lump? They should've turbo'd it.
I'm not sure that they do, and I'm not sure why you'd want one considering how unrestrictive the 100 cell cat is. Surely more hassle than it's worth? Apparently, the cat is just like the ones used on world rally cars (Loebs to be exact), but only what I've been told so couldn't confirm.
I...
