Poorboys Wheel Sealnat is a good product, though there are better shampoos out there for the money and not a fan of the trye dressing at all, it is a dirt trap.
Shampoos wise look into Meguiars Shampoo Plus or Hyperwash as they are much more cost effective and also maybe look into Duragloss...
The full process Polish, Sealant and Wax once ever 4 - 6 months, wax it maybe every 4-6 weeks to keep that topped up and then just wash and use a quick detail spray in between.
SRP and EGP will look great on Red, though I would get some Jeffs Acrylic Jett Sealant if you want to save time and effort rather than using EGP.
Wax wise on Red I recommend a wax I don't use on any other colour really and that is Meguiars #26 Hi Tech Yellow Wax.
I am quite shocked by your decision as some of your previous posts showed no love for it. Hope the mods make it a car your happy with. I often look back through rose tinted glasses at my old Pug GTi's but know getting another would only be a let down.
As said 172 Cups had then - Your Cup packed 182 won't have had. Only the 182 Cup proper was meant to have the door badges - most turned up without them going by threads on here at the time.
The 306 I was not bothered by got good money for it and it became a normal car. When it came to the 1.9 that was even sweeter as I made made money on it and stuck plenty of miles on it. Also it eventually ended up in the hands of a collector then has 30-40 205 GTis already so doubt I will see it...
Nice work, egg mark will need in most cases more than polishing or wet sanding alone will need some paint tbh, leaves such deep fine marks it goes through the clearcoat and base coat and allows the primer to show through.
There is an actual thread on DW that it was all taken from , best of linking that TBH
I am not quite as bad anymore !
No probs was all written a while ago.
Once you get it clean you will be surprised how easy it is to keep on top of it I did loads of miles in the 205 GTi and it was still clean underneath when I sold it. Though all depends how much time and effort you want to go through, I would not bother now on a daily drive car.
Most people recommend liquid detergents just incase, no softener is a must as it wrecks them. On the normal gungy job ones I go up to 50 degrees if need be.
Other ones for clean takes hand wash with Woolite and they stay as good as new for years.
On normal grime Autoglym Interior shampoo should do it, Megs APC as said above may be needed on more stubborn stains. Worth a quick search as there was a good thread on it the Gaz197 wrote on doing his.
FINISHING TOUCHES
It can be hard to know where to stop when doing this kind of thing on a car which is judged and scruntised all over by judges at a show. You really need to pay attention to every inch of the car.
If something can be cleaned it needs to be. The main problem is certain parts...
PAINTING PARTS
Keeping the calipers, hubs and brake dust shields clean is one of the harest parts. The car nature means dirt seems to get ingrained in these bits and will not come clean, cleaners tend to discolour these parts.
Painting these parts works quite wheel enabling them to easily...
DRESSING AND POLISHING ARCHES
With Smoother paintwork it is possible to apply products such as Klasse AIO easily to the painted areas. This makes cleaning them on a weekly basis very easy. Even on daily drive cars I try and do this twice a year. Once in the Autumn to give some winter...
