especially on the CUP as the brakes are biased towards the front because of the lack of ABS.
the 172 is somthing like 90/10 brake ditribution aswell in favour of the fronts.. most cars are, its got nothing to do with/without ABS
Nah, apparently it would work but your brake force distribution would be 50/50 instead of 90/10, and its a bit worrying seeing your rear wheels and the headlight of cars behind through the side window ;)
That and the fact that the tyres on planes dont really do anything, once the plane is landing on the runway its going in a straight line.. traction or no traction..
Plus its the engines that do 90% of the braking on the ground anyway, hence the reason the reverse thrust flaps flip up on the...
Your actually probably better off without ABS in those conditions.. thankfully they are rare in this country. It would have been nice if renault would have included a switch to turn it off with loosing the EBD
What do you folks think is best.. individual email/letters to renault customer services or one letter with the names of all the owners to which the problem affects ?

Looks good, if/when I am looking to change from the 172 the 182 may be a serious replacement option.
I wouldnt go out and sell my 172 just to get a 182 though, not enough of an upgrade.
Hate to say it but all tires are crap in the wet, and having wider tiders is bad news..
Unless you fit snow chains or in the case of the 172 snow tyres you aint gonna be getting any grip.
I did a test and posted up a picture of the GPS reading and Speedo reading, speedo said 60mph, GPS said 60.4mph It was out the same at 100mph but you try taking a picture at 100mph ..
