How reliable r Mk2s in this cold

I ask this because I went out today (was about 3 degrees), started the car and the engine spluttered between 500 and 1000 rpm for 30 seconds until I revved her a bit (seemed like the auto-choke didnt kick in). Was fine after, but its a brand new car, full tank of Optimax, all fluids nominal.

So are they just buggers in the cold or should I raise an eyebrow next time it happens?

Not had any problems in the cold weather, starts first time never stalls.

it was -3 for me fired straight away

mines always started fine but there is a renault tech note regarding 172s and non start when cold.see your dealer if the problem gets worse.

Mine does that most mornings when I start it if the temp is below 3 oC.

I have it booked in at the dealer next week to try and sort it.

Ive hand no problems with starting mine and Ive had it out in a lot colder temperatures than -3 .........live in Scotland...... still no snow yet!!!
