Harley Dealers used to sell S100 products which where the same products a P21s just half the price. Was told they had stopped them.
You need a very fine finishing polish or even an abrasive free pre wax cleaner to get a perfect finish on some of the softer paint finishes. I have used the S100...
Autoglym or Einzsett Glass Polishes both work really well at deep cleaning glass. If you have a machine polisher both work even better, polishing or light cut pad you will be surprised how much grime they lift from the glass.
I have used AG SRP by hand, as well as Menzerna and Meguiars bodyshop ranges of polishes by machine on a variety or bikes all have worked well. Main issue with most is the amount of stickers.
I tend to polish the best I can by hand with a mild paint cleanser such as S100 or Swissvax Cleaner...
Live Trace may give you something useable but it is quite crude in what it creates.
Are there any paths in the Photoshop document you can copy and paste into Illustrator to speed up the redraw ?
A few people on here have got issues with getting water in places they should not. It is always ideal to use as little water as possible, even down to using a damp cloth if possible. I would not even think about pressure washing the engine in most French cars tbh !
How did you find a good chipsaway guy, trial and error or recommendation ? You seem quite a prefectionist - how good can they fix things? I have a spot on guy for dents need a good paint guy though. Local chips away guy royally fucked up my old 205.
