Most of the look is in the prep, so can understand what you are seeing. Normally I follow up the FF with some Swissvax Cleaner Fluid to ensure it bonds as well as it can before adding the way.

Probably over kill - even the most un-durable waxes should give you a couple of weeks protection. No harm in it though, I used to be the same ! Once a month is fine with most waxes.
