Re: r26 progress thread. (mods delete old thread)
Ah right, that makes sense.
I dunno the situation with R26s, but for my Civic, it's possible to buy lightweight race-style batteries that are not only lighter than the standard units, but are also thinner. Might be worth looking into as a...
Re: r26 progress thread. (mods delete old thread)
Car is coming along nicely mate.
I really wouldn't bother with relocating the battery etc. unless you're planning on building a full blow track car. Whilst it looks pretty cool, in reality its a lot of effort for not very much gain.
Have you...
Amazing. Saw this on the repeat yesterday and thought that the teacher had good taste (what with Rosie and now this 172).
You wanna be careful though. Have you seen this ?
Some idiot who can't distinguish between soap and reality might think it really is his car and key it?!?!
Lol. They are the best colour in all honesty for all Type-Rs, but sack paying an extra £1k for it! Rather spend it on mods!
Yes, actually that's the bonnet I want. To have a Mugen one shipped from Japan fitted and sprayed, best part of £3k I was quoted!
Yeah, its an FD1 Civic. That red...
Lovely car and I really like the interior too.
It might be just me, but I've always thought they looked a bit odd at the point where the roof panel meets the rear pillar/glass?
It kinda looks like its a removable targa roof, but I'm guessing that's not actually the case?
Gutted for you mate.
How fast was the taxi going to cause that sort of impact? Deansgate's usually quite busy with traffic and people anyway, so was he doing serious speed?
No chance of buying the car and repairing it yourself?
Lol just lol.
I remember back when i used to have a 133 there were some people on the RS forum who were kicking up an almighty stink about it not being available.
I'd totally forgotten about it till I saw this, can't believe it took them that long!!
Still, you finally got it now, and must...
Nah, think you got it confused with the TT RS.
The "S" as here is about £35k with c.270bhp and the "RS" model is about £50k with 335bhp.
Lovely cars, but if i had one it'd have to be black.
My favourite PH2 172 colour if I'm being honest!
They are kinda rare compared to silver and black I guess.
As for Petrol blue, seen a few of those out and about, and think they look pretty poo IMO.
Am i right in thinking they cost the full £1200 as an extra through the Renault Id thingy?
Cheers mate.
225ps is the book output. However, if u believe everything EVO says, they apparently make closer to 240.
Personally..... I'm not so sure, but I do intend getting mine on the rollers once this dam door gets sorted.
Jesus! Puts mine in perspective!!
The fd2s are built in Japan apparently rather than Swindon. Been speaking with a few people however, and they seem to think the hybrid door is the same so maybe it won't be too much of a problem. Apparently, Honda have a large stock of parts in Belgium which...
Looks nice.
4.5k? Seems pretty tidy value too. Wouldn't mind one for work.
What are these cars like in terms of build? Do they take big miles in their stride or do they fall to bits like certain french motors?
Not a fan of the wheels personally, but other than that good stuff.
Cheers guys.
Well, they were good enough to leave their details so its all going through the insurance now.
Been to Honda and is apparently gonna need a new door so the whole repair is going to cost nearly £1k.
Hopefully there won't be any hiccups with insurance, they left a note so I...
I still think a 197 is the best looking Clio.
However, the 200 is growing on me. As for the deal, it does seem pretty good. Only wish I could have got a similar deal way back when I got my R27 instead of losing an arm and a leg in depreciation!
Good update.
What kind of alloys are these?
Are they Mugen GPs?
I want some for my car, but I can't find any in a black finish like this.... they're all anthracite or bronze.
Am going for the Type HC pads.
They seem a bit pricier than the other pads availble for the FD2, but you get what you pays for I guess.
Can I ask what would be the reasoning for going with Ferodos at the front and then the Mu's at the rear rather than same pads all round?
Is this to do...
