there is an option in the phone to update the software. its in the connection options i think. all you need is a wifi connection for it to connect up to. its --- "connect", then, "device manager", then choose "updates"

:S When starting my car from cold, 16v mk2ph2, the usual warning lights take longer to go out and even trigger the serv light to come on. i was thinking this is due to the sensors being so cold, and them taking longer to "activate".:S the abs and the power steering (electric), indicators...

1) i think you have the electric power steering. no fluid. if not working, motor may be knackerd 2) stuck caliper most likely - needs replacement 3) dont think so.
