What have you done to your car today ???

New timing belt/water pump/thermostat for my little 1.2 16v. Would be lying if I said I wasn't bricking it, I can see why you take your 2.0 to a specialist.

Just make sure you get the biggest f*ck off exhausts to complete the look

    Clio sports bumpers non sport

The wheels look really silly if you do go down that route (from what I have seen), non sport chassis just aren't the same. Spacers don't seem to get them out far enough. Im running 20mm spacers and that doesn't clear standard fenders (assuming you are using standard rims.) Not the question you...

Superb car, but why modify it?

A scenic shifter to raise the gear knob and a (Yanoo) Stiff Shift tidied up the gear change so much, transformed my enjoyment of the car.

    What spoiler is this?

It is, as I hit purchase I wondered if anybody else had spotted it 😂

    What spoiler is this?

Bought this spoiler off fleabay, has Renault/valeo markings but the screw holes appear real dodgy. This legit? I'm unsure but all the markings are there, pics:

    Clio 2 1.2 clutch

I don't have any answers but in my mind there can be two things wrong, either the cable or the clutch. I would replace the cable first and if it still isn't playing then it may need a new clutch. If you need washers to make it work something has gone too far awry. The pedal has an auto...

    Fuel line blowing off

    Fuel line blowing off

Looking at my first image the pipe wasn't pushed on all the way. This doesn't explain it coming loose a month ago but could be why the new pipe popped off, placed some zip ties there just in case and see how things go. Fingers crossed this turns into a 'panic' thread and the issue doesn't...

    Fuel line blowing off

The car was on 30 mins ago, could still be pressure in the line? Possibly not thinking straight after a good petrol dousing

    Fuel line blowing off

I pulled off the pipe to check and it just fired fuel all over the car and me..... Pressure build up somewhere, it fired out from the fuel rail.... Bad pic but fired up the bonnet/windscreen Fitting looks fine though haha

    Fuel line blowing off

A month ago I went to start the car and it would only crank, the fuel line had come loose... Ordered and replaced with a genuine item. Today on the motorway it deciding to spit it out again! Before I start tearing up the engine bay what could be the cause(s) of this? It happened just under 4K...

help with fitting k&n induction kit to clio mk2 phase 2 1.2.. is this the right one!?

I have only seen the K&N one one for the D4F712 (I have the same engine) that has the adapter. One popped up on ebay for about 50 a few weeks back, don't think you can buy them new any more. Off topic from your question I am running a Pipercross foam filter and that helps give you more noise...

    Gearnob removal / fitting

I wrapped mine in a tea towel, gave it a hard twist and the glue snapped (I did have a hacksaw ready to go but was lucky not to use it). I was installing a scenic shifter (+Stiff Shift) so cut some grooves into the gearstick rod with a hacksaw and epoxy'd a black Quaife knob on top (I think I...

    Door card sealer

From my experience doing it the door card is easy to remove but the butyl makes an absolute mess, I used WD40 and a plastic scraper to clean off the old stuff. There are little dot marks on the back to help you apply the new butyl back in place (if you are going down the full clean/replacement...

    New shifter and bushes

Ahh that's right! I had to change the gear linkage to accommodate a replacement metal bushing that went at the box end

    New shifter and bushes

This is the exact method I did for mine, realigning the gearstick afterwards is a PITA. I put the gearbox in reverse from the box and got my other half to hold the stick in reverse position in the car while I bolted it up (I believe the proper method is to space it out 2-3mm from the plastic...

    Bolt spacing 1.4 8valve

Turn the wheels all the way to one side exposing the knuckle, crack out a ruler and measure from the centre of each bolt (assuming you are talking about Front Shock Bolt Spacing). Only way to guarantee the right one for your car. Unless somebody on here knows exactly it's your best bet. There...

    Car Cleaning Product Range

I would reduce the brand down to 'So:' so that your range looks like: So: Wax So: Shampoo So: Snow foam So: Wheel Cleaner So: Interior detailer So: Fallout Remover So: Citrus Pre-Wash So: Quick Detailer Focus on the product and how good it is, simple. Otherwise pick some mental attention...

Routine oil change, whoever recommended removing the filter with a plastic bag to catch the oil saved me a lot of grief today
