Bought a set of alloys with some used R888s, two are flogged and the other two have reasonable tread to them (2.5-5mm)
I'm going to repaint the rims and purchase road tyres. I want to ask those with experience with these tyres if there is any life left in this set for somebody?
(16" 205/45)
I have used a battery shim on my negative due to the clamp being deformed with age. From what I have seen as long as you have the correct terminals/tools to correctly fit them you are good to go. From a quick search there is the large fuse on the positive terminal to be mindful of...
Thank you for the advice. I'm going for OEM rubber so fingers crossed won't be as bad as a poly' change. Knowing the bolt could snap it seems prudent to just replace it while the chance is there
Glad to see its not just me who has had this experience
I bought some cheap ones from ebay (as you do) and they did as you say, If somebody sees this and got it to work a purchase link/advice would be appreciated.
I would imagine genuine parts are the best way to go.
Just to end the thread, 238mm was NOT the right size.
259mm is correct as per the manual -which I should have bl**dy looked in the first place. Have to make
these mistakes to learn from them I hope...
P.S. Such a pain when you find a thread on the subject you are looking into and the last...
I did mine a few months ago (Kit from CrazyLeds) and the Door Locks, central locking and heated windscreen button (assuming clio MK2) are 3mm (specifically flat tops in the kit). The speedo dials are PLCC-2's but the mileage read out had 1206's supplied (the CD player also had 1206's supplied)...
Resister suggestion from Dr Jekyll and 1812lsd is 3.3ohm.

At lot more sketchy than a reprogram but then a lot cheaper, I have seen quite a lot of people run resistors on wheel...
The real litmus test will be getting the wheels off and having a proper look which I won't be able to do for a few weeks at least. Will update with my finsings late on in case it can help somebody else in the future.
I'm with Filters on this, the addition of extra metal bars to the side of the seats in the frame make a world of difference to being "locked" into the car. I picked up the half leather full set for £75 with one cig burn mark on the drivers side - Some of the best money I have spent on the car. I...
I believe it belongs to the first batch of PH2's in the UK (originally bought November 2001 a few months after the facelift)
Image for generation reference, my own is a dark metallic green (will get some images up when I find time)
- Same set up as image with the 1.2L 16V D4F Petrol with...
1.2L 16v 2001 (MK2)
And wow that would be a lot of work, i'm not quite running low boost power...
I have now ordered some proper discs at the right size and will fit the larger
ones on my friends Mk3 (as they should be). I'ts reassuring to know that my
silly proposition is indeed silly. Thank...
I have recently purchased 260mm brake discs from the advice of a thread here,
turns out my 1.2 peasent spec have 238mm discs installed. (I should have believed
the auto part sites).
I can always sell the discs on but then that got me wondering...
How much work would it require to fit these...
