sorry - i could have explained that better; the 'new' cans are available in both 300 and 400ml - they're the same diameter and are fatter than the original cans. the 400ml can is taller than the 300.
if it is the mounts, it's not necessarily serious as there are a couple of things you can do that might sort it
check the tightness of all of the engine mount and subframe mounting nuts/bolts (especially the bottom nut on the upper gearbox mount); also, loosen the four top engine mount bolts...
i don't know for sure but would guess that they're less than a tenner for a pattern part (GSF etc). it's not unusual to have them seize - you may need to use an oxy torch to get them off although perseverance and Plusgas/WD40 might do
some deadly-dull tyre weld facts:
i think the cans originally supplied with the car were 2x300ml. Renault have upped the diameter of the cans that they supply and two of the new cans won't fit together in the foam holder in the wheel well.
they also supply 400ml cans which are the same...
the pistons can become lazy but can be freed off and the handbrake mechanism arms can also become sticky - again, they just need freeing off and lubricating. try taking it for a short run first though as corrosion can cause sticking and grinding until it has been worn off by application of the...
a Haynes manual will do a much better job of explaining it than i can - doesn't even have to be a Clio manual as the procedure is much the same for most cars.
i'd recommend an Easibleed though - the two-man method is deadly dull; these Easibleed things are one-man and make the whole thing so...
the Haynes manual is probably your best bet although, if you've not got much mechanical experience, it'd be a good idea to have someone who has done it before with you. it's not that it's a particularly difficult job - it's just that it's one that you shouldn't really be taking chances with...
mine's, i think, 8mm all round - best check your car to be sure though
be careful slackening the bleed screws too as, if they're seized and sheer off, you've had it and will likely need to renew the calipers (which aren't actually that expensive)
basic kit might be along these lines:
*Gunsons Easibleed* - Halfords
brake fluid
jar(s) for old fluid
ring spanner for bleed screws
spanners for hose removal
possibly, Plusgas/WD40 to help with hose removal
you could do away with the Easibleed but they make the whole operation so much easier...
