Yeah my brakes tend to stick when the cars been left, normally in wet conditions. I've got discs all round though. I've resorted to not putting my handbrake on tighlty at all, but you could probably push my car with the handbrake on the amount I actually leave it on in order for the brakes not...
Do you guys with turinis not find them a bit awkward to clean cos they've got that lip thing an inch back or so? It looks likeit'd be difficult getting right into all those corners on all those spokes on four wheels. :(
Alright, I said value. I'd have been more accurate in wording it "I think my car would sell for £5500". I think it should be worth more than that but people just won't pay it for 172's. This has been the case for about 12 months and I don't know if they've just taken a permanent hit for some...
I edited my post cos while I would not bother spending that amount of money on modifying a megane, I can understand how some people do like to mod cars and are happy to spend the extra to be different.
Buy a 2.0 litre meggy?
EDIT: The coupe is available as a 2.0. He could get one of those and do mods to get a good performance gain. If he really wants a fast meggy that much. It all starts to get very cost ineffective though. It's only worth it if he wants to keep the car for a long, long...
Alright alright, I didn't ask for all the sarky comments. I'm well aware of how little 172's are selling for which was kind of my original point. I'd say 4k is taking it a little too far tho. It's only an '03.
I was assuming it's ph2.
OK so it seems CS is the best place for a quote, how much is mine worth?
03 FF 172 Flame red
FRSH, 12 months Mot, 9 months tax
42k miles
renault colour sat nav
I'd value it at around £5500. What do you think then?
Just buy a 172 as they're so cheap now. Plus you could have trouble selling your meggy with a enengine conversion. I bet that £2k doesn't include about £1k for a 172 engine either.
My car doesn't pull well after 130mph if that makes you feel better.
No car pulls well in it's last 10% before max speed unless it's electronically limited (like some cars to 155mph). Don't waste your money. Save your pennies, wait a while and get a car with a bigger engine.
I'd be surprised if it had as much effect as that. 40kgs at it's top speed maybe. The effect of the venturi at the kind of speed you'd be driving on the streets? None...
