id buy a new throttle body, its the most expensive, and most likely to be the problem, also its the easier to take back and pretend you ddin't use it, ;)
i saw this clio v6 gear knob on ebay and was thinking of getting it,

it looks like it will fit, does the clio v6 have the lift sleve thing for reverse gear ?
actually its only 1 nut you adjust to tighten it up, i recommend a deep 10mm socket, not the normal depth one. and you only need to undo half the heatshield one side and just bend it down (torx)
Alot of peopel seem to move the battery to the boot, well looking at engine pics on ebay, why don't you just move the battery to the current airbox location, but keepign the battery at the same angle (as original angle) then just have a straight pipe for the air intake ? as shown in my skilled...
well they were standard clio 172 16" rims of a phase 2 (not cup turinis) the 5 spoke 172 alloys with standard continental tyres. It not a constant rubbing, so you probably didnt notice.
mine fails 2 years in a row with headlight beam too high (cos the previous year they put it to numebr 4 and adjusted it, fools) this year failed due to the track rod ends, apart from that i would have passed no probs.
i wouldn't put 17's on, i put my standard 172 16" on my mums 1.2 16v 2002 clio, and the rear wheels rubbed if you go around bends quickly and sharply, and that was without people in the back !!
looked at this a few weeks back, you can pick them up for about £80 looks ok, but you can get HUD units too which show your speed and stuff on the windscreen too.
it hooks in the same place, and you put this thing on your dash and it projects your speed and stuff on the windscreen
i got a genunie v6 knob, i was gonna sell couldnt' get it to work with my 172, first of all the inside was to small and didnt' fit on teh shaft, so i had to drill it bigger inside, then the inside plastic inside was too large for the reverse sleve to lift up. so i ended up breakign a bit of, so...
