cuppy172, yes they can do that, itll cost the same as a unichip, give or take a few £. Sangy I remember the Unichip guys sayng the chips fitted inside the car passenger footwell if Im right (only getting mine end May, tired of waiting). Unichip has many many goodies. somebody posted a list of...
im waiting for my custom made furry dice and then my fogs will be on purrmanently. Kh Kh Khhh oh and Id like some of these mexican gas shocks to make the car do the lambada.
spoke to superchips and they guarantee that in the unlikely event that did happen you can take your car back and theyll reprogramme it. They also offer different versions depending on the mods you have on the car, and they sound very knowledgeable. I spoke to power engineering in London. The...
rattle from behind drivers side heater air vent. Been into reno twice, still there. Worse when the car is cold
steering wheel 2 degrees to the right when the wheels are straight
rattle from passenger seat, goes away after somebody sits in it and comes back randomly
staring to get a knock...
Paul, re. dimensions, r u sure? 18inch diameter sounds a bit on the large size. (I know my IKs bigger than yours and all that, but from the pic it looks like its about 9 inch in diameter too - or did you measure the circumference - jeez i hope i can still spell that right, its been a while since...
no. lamda sensors either side of the cat. if you de-cat, you can at best trick the sensors using a resistor between them but eventually will get a light on your dash. Not too sure about the way the ecu would handle this either - so no decat mk2 for now..
Cheers Paul. For info, the CDA is a cylinder 15cm diameter by 16cm long. Inlet and TB pipes are 7cm diameter. Ive been thinking re best way to route the intake pipe to lower front grille. Also thinking about shortening existing TB intake pipe by a couple of inches to get more space and a wider...
Thanks for posting Paul172. Looking forward to the pics. Can you tell us what the diameter and length of the viper are as I want to compare that with the CDA box Im getting whenever they are back in stock in the UK (been waiting for 4 weeks)

message to Renault:
If you are indeed planning to offer "softer" options for the cup, fire your marketing director and hire a decent one.
You have a unique chance to capitalise on the Cups obvious sales success. Its pitched at the right price, it appeals to the right audience and youre...
yes Mo--, exactly. Renault could do their brand image wonders by sponsoring/encouraging track tuition etc (Jeremys doing his best, but thats not widely seen). The appeal of the cup is its raw image (just read all the magazines) and when you have brand exposure like that youd be daft to lose it.
I chose my cup because it didnt have ABS. Youd need to remove it anyway for proper track use. But I would agree with you Rob, if one "nice" option is made available on the cup, ABS could be it to avoid new drivers embedding themselves in the scenery.
whats the bloody point! Anybody wanting luxuries is much better off buying a 172Mk2?
I want a cup with LESS: less weight, less money so that I can thrash two of them a year, etc. I also want proper race seats, bigger/better brakes, etc etc. I want reno to encourage us to use the car on track...
The unichip is removable and the car returns to standard. However if you are contemplating such mods, you should be aware that Reno could give you some trouble and blame engine probs etc on the changes. Unfortunately we cant have our cake and eat it...
well the manifold is usually the problem, and the reason why most of us are still waiting for a conversion. If you can find a manifold to fit your car, then youre 90% of the way there. Fitting standard TBs is then straight forward. If they havent got the wiring loom either, then they really dont...
Seedy were was the car parked? If it was at home or regular parking spot the little sh*t may have another go. But then again he will be local and you may be able to guess who it is and have a quiet word or two.
If the car was parked somewhere unusual, youre in luck. Just avoid it next time...
