westfield megabird. 384 bhp/ton 3.9s 0-60 £17k new
or see exchange and mart used westfield megabird for £11k
oh and dont forget my search commission m8;)
I did a few reviews in other threads. idling is great/deep burble. flat out is awesome, normal driving pedestrians hardly notice. Only downside is boominess at mway speeds between 3-4.5k. problem to go beyond 4.5k as that reads 100mph on speedo.. It is a lot less boomy than a cat back without...
maybe not so surprising: Nov/Dec French mag test for roadholding/braking/cornering etc

Non Non Non me good mates:
Philip doesnt have a 200hp cup - yet - youve misread some recent posts on best drivers car under £15k and somebody was making a case for the butt -ugly CTR and how amazing it was. I said that I was implementing mods to my cup that should see me to 200 or so for less...
he he I remember the thread where a jap car was reduced to chassis and bare minimum. No bonnet ... not sure about aerodynamics... would look like a right to**er driving in town like that. More seriously, the crash test argument makes sense. Id still like to get my hands on one though. Were they...
I believe that some earlier 172s had an alloy/aluminium bonnet instead of the steel bonnet on the later cars. Does anybody know about this, as it would be a good way to reduce weight (7-8Kg) as the current bonnet weighs a ton.
Hiya Steve, good to get a reaction. Bought the car as a demo for 10.7k with 2k miles on. . May get to 200hp (just) without TBs, otherwise thats an extra £2.5k ie £14k car. Ill post the RR results when Im done in June and a copy of the invoices ;). Looks are perso, but I really prefer the cups -...
haya woody. If you ask 10 of us youll get 20 conflicting answers :D The 17s look the business but a lot of recent threads say they reduce performance, theres even a few guys trying to sell almost new ones. The viper kit looks the business, but again if its not fitted well will allegedly loose...
dunno about pressure, only repeating Gavins (mechanic) statement at K-tec. Not concerned either way. On installing a 75mm pipe behind the lower grille with no cutting, I couldnt see how when I was standing under the car. But then I still had the regular airbox in as Im only getting my IK in a...
The fact it comes on at 6900 suggests its a pre-limiter warning and not an optimal gearchange indicator, as peak performance on an unmodded car is at 6250.
dont reducer pipes screw up the exhaust performance. I remember reading some stuff about the diameter of your exhaust pipe needing to be exactly the same throughout after the exhaust manifold to help create a standing wave thingy to help draw out the exhaust gases. Doubtless one of our techie...
okekoke. Ill be doing the same when I get the bloody BMC CDA after 3 weeks wait from Itaaaalia (Im waving my arms as I type Itaaaalia-maaaama-miiia) - sorry just been to see Johnny English with the kids and it was sososooooooo b*** boring!!
