Okay we all know the French like their cars to rattle to make matters worse I've added a 12" sub to the boot, and the car really does rattle to fcuk on certain bass lines.
Anyone got any tips on what to remove etc..?
The rear wiper is spazzing out with the sub on and doesnt do a lot...
Yeah I didnt think the rears were adjustable either as theres nothing to adjust.
My old clios tyres were wearing slightly on the inside rear, I think four wheel alighnment is just the front two adjusted to be inline with the rear - not the otherway round or mixed.
Don't make the same mistake I did,I tell you now I was in such a situation.
Not only was I one of the very few with 54mm spacing or 52mm i forgot which evers rarer anyway, a big fat greek bloke at a garage who I slipped £20 to broke the hub.
"Sorry I broke your hub"... well seeing as you...
I made a post a while back that my rear drums where sounding like it was metal on metal whilst breaking, especially when starting out. It'd go away for a little while but reappear if i didnt touch the brakes for a while.
Well, the sound has dissapeared all together now.
I knew it was my...
Yeah changing it would be the smart option (hence why I'm not doing it :p) only if you cannot afford to have the car off road unplanned.
Otherwise, well this is how I see it you've got to get the clutch out regardless to sort it so you might as well have a new clutch put in so get as much use...
All my Clio's made this screaching noise, if I let of the clutch too quick or try and pull away in 2nd or if i increase the revs before letting the clutch fully out during a gear change.
I've done 10k hard driving miles and the noise is still the same, but the car still lives, touch wood.
Mission complete
You don't want to see my alley though, looks like a beach with all the sand covering masses of black oil.
Took the plug off and loads of the stuff seeped out without me noticing, it didnt look like it was going to leak at first for some reason, I knelt down to put some new...
looks like it's going to be a mission to get to, is it possible to do it without the car going up in the air?
I've got a nitro car fuel filler bottle so it might be quite easy to squeeze the oil in with that but getting to it is the first problem.
Just to be sure mate, am I looking at the right bolt?
It's on the right of gearbox looking from the front near the bottom right hand side of the engine
Bloody hell I see it, typical Renault to make a mission out of getting to a bolt.
Cheers Edde will give it a go, do you know if low gearbox oil will make the gearstick feel diffrent or is it the same till it runs out then the gearbox breaks?
I'm pretty much my leak under my car is gearbox oil, I also don't know whether it's in my head or not - but the gear changes feel not as smooth as they used to.
I was wondering if I needed some more oil in the gearbox, it's a MK1 can anyone tell me how to top it up? someone said to me before...
It's just cosmetic isn't it? I think it might help the receiver pick up the plip better if anything, like you have on remote controls and receivers, if it still works a bit of super glue and jobs a gooden?
Sorry if this has been covered I can't seem to find it, anyone know where I can get a Cliosport sticker?
I want one to go on my boot window at the top center say about 20cm wide or something liek that.
Hmm okay Martin cheers, so really theres no reason for it to fail even if it doesn't return fully, I mean at the moment it opens alright just has a bit of slack on it if you know what I mean, you've got to return it to the closed position.
Anyone know how they work? I got out of my car earlier and the thing feels a lot lighter, it doesn't return to it's position after pulling it to open it, ie stays out liek your holding it to open the door, also you have to pull it back further, sounds like a streched cable to me if it goes how...
Mint bodywork wise Renault Clio 1.4 RT
Cambelt due, head gasket probably heading south - 90k
1) Pay for the work to be done
or
2) Carry on servicing it minus the head and cam until the engine goes bang and drop a replacment lump in from the breakers
What would be the most logical...
Exactly the same as that, how much have you got left in the tank?
People have been saying something to do with wiper jets etc.. and I've been looking around the back of the car for damp spots as it sounds like it's coming from behind me.
