Okay took the front wheel off the brake pads are fine, about the same width as the brake disc loads of meat left on them, brake fluid is near the top too. Anything else I can check?

I'll check the pads in daylight tommorow but I did put my hand round the brake disc, there is a slight lip at the end of it to indicate a bit of wear but from a non mechanical view I'd say they're not too badly worn.

Squeel, how does air get into the system. Do you reckon it'd cost a lot for a garage to overhall the whole braking system?

Mines mounted to the top of my sub, the subs literally take up the whole boot as they're twin 15". If I remember rightly my mate mounted brackets to the back of the rear seats, There should be a couple of standard holes in the seats already is there not?
