    Fitting backbox

How hard is it to fit a backbox, is it a DIY job? No special tools but I could source a big bore steel backbox for £15.

    Testing shocks

Gave it some proper stick today for the first time in ages, the suspension is fine or it wouldn't have handled what I gave it, fingers crossed it's just the tracking which needs doing. Still can't see how though but I guess it could have altered as I did use some force to get parts off etc..

    Testing shocks

I'm dumbfounded as to how the tracking could have altered though as the track rods haven't been touched, maybe something happened when changing the suspension as I've had the hubs off as well and you've got to be quite brutal on some of the bolts. Also the car has been standing without a hub...

    Testing shocks

Thats what I was wondering but is there meant to be any play at the top of the strut i,e the bolt under the bonnet? It sort of moves about 1cm each way well it can do if i bounce it. But nah handling feels great, well I say great I'm running 13" inch wheels so it's not going to be anything...

    Testing shocks

Whats the rule of the thumb for testing shocks? I've had the front two replaced from breakers they look fine visually but just want to make sure as the steering wheel is now out to the left a little.

    Flat Battery

kk makes sence I suppose I was just thinking in an ideal world if I didn't have the speakers on there would hardly be any power consumed but my system is still taking power and the fact that the headunit will be drawing power as well. No probs will just bump start it once it decides it's had...

    Flat Battery

Come to think of it would the system drain the battery? Alright the system was left on for three hours but the volume was on zero, does that make a diffrence? It's got a 1000w sub and amp hooked up to it too.

    Measuring Hub spacing

Was thinking that but to be honest can't fault the handling even in the wet. What does get me? why does my old phase 1 have 54mm spacing along with the other three at the breakers and my Clio RT which was considered top range back in the day got smaller spacing. Does it represent anything to...

Cheers, edde. This may sound silly but do I measure the space inside the two bolt holes or start just after the hole, if you get what I mean as it's coming back as 38mm.

    Measuring Hub spacing

Okay lads, as some of you may already know from my earlier topic. I'm left with a broken hub thanks to a trigger happy press welding polish grease monkey. I have the current hub with me now, I've been to the breakers and all the hubs I see on the clios are diffrent, they all look fatter...
