Forget the Renault engine then get the VAG 1.8 T fitted instead much stronger engine and box plus the bits exist off the shelf for serious HP (750hp in the US) a forum member on here had his to 425hp easy enough. Just have a look at AMD etc turbos are all out there its all proven etc.

Bit over £5k I'd guess fitted you need to find a place (probably a renault tunner) who would like a project car as such.

Value for money wise the R26 is great has a LSD and a little rear spolier etc and cheaper to buy with more HP out the box so its undersandable.

Thats a bit unfir there loads of good priced dealerships out there many of them can compete with normal garages and know what there doing unlike the have a go garages who think they know what there doing.

A decat is just removing the catalitic converter form the exhaust stem helps remove restriction so hence increase power a bit.
No real great alue fo money mod though decat a panel filter are about it.
For the 10hp you also need the remap the sports cat and full exhaust stsrtem from a 182 the 182 extra 10hp ins't just the manifold.
So they werne't a race team so how do you know how they were rely driving. change up along would see them a good way ahead.
