As Tom said a new ABS rign can be bought form Renault cheaply and replaced garages don't like doing it often as a new shafts more garanteed and more money and less effort often.

Always change springs and dampers IMO. you cna go to any springs lenght there no rule like 60mm means you need dampers juts life span is reduced more with lower springs but how long noone can say for definate depends on to many varaibles.
