Yeah I thought it was the front diff at first, as it went bang crawling out of a side road with a fair bit of lock on. It won’t roll now, and every rotation of the prop I get a nice car shuddering bang/crack.
Still, nice excuse to get an RS diff setup at the back. If I can bloody find one...
Horrific for noise, I rarely use them on the road tbh. AD08R is much more of a compromise and much more sensible for the road. Will swap back to either the Rays or the TDs if I find an hour this week.
Yeah I love getting black flags for noise at Donington. While you can’t hear the marshalls for all the noise of the planes taking off from east mids. [emoji19]
The GP loop goes up much closer to a housing estate iirc. Much harder to run days more frequently due to noise.
The GP days are usually more than double the price of Indy!
I wouldn’t swap it for much right now! Everyone’s talking about sport button this, active flap that.
f**k that.
I want to jump in my car and go, no faff.
I managed 120 laps/miles with zero fuss. [emoji1362]
Yeah cars and coffee is much more civilised, and you only take a few hours of your day.
Maybe I might’ve done jap/chav/show/fest in my early 20s but not now.
Yeah his is a weapon, I was a garage neighbour to him at Brands last year. He was doing 58s and I was dipping 56s l, with half the power. Because driving hero and all that s**t. [emoji23]
I’d like more power, every one would.
But there is a limit to what you can use on the street.
I swear sometimes mine feels too much for the road. 600bhp and 1200-1300kg must be mental.
Nothing yet, on my instagram there’s a ‘before’ video from the pit lane of Donington. The system I had only had one silencer that had no packing left in it, no wonder I was having chats with noise Marshalls all the time!
The fabricator Turn12 looked at me funny when I said what I wanted [emoji23]
A couple of triple figure stops and they’ll be juddering again if they’re plain discs imo.
Yeah my Evo didn’t make it to AT, went up in my brothers Integra as mine was having some exhaust work done...
I’ve gone for function over form!
I thought 4-9 Brembos were 4 pots up front?
Anyways, I went to Auto Torque's open morning this morning:

Yeah the car came with them, but I’m no stranger to Brembo judder from my old man’s Evo days.
He used to kill a set of discs every track day until he went AP front and rear.
I would steer clear of cheaper BBKs, AP/Alcon only tbh.
But, until I can afford BBK the girodisc seems a very good...
I am very very very impressed with my girodisc floaters up front. The biggest killer for Evo front brakes is heat.
The giro floaters haven’t started juddering in all the abuse I throw at them, even an august track day they were rock solid all day.
Less impressed with the dust and noise of the...
I ran mine up the back roads from Amersham to Silverstone yesterday, so good to get out in it.
Sadly I was there for business and not track stuff.
New exhaust bits going on this weekend to bring it down from ~100dB drive by.
Find the nicest Golf GTI DSG you can find for 20k?
Et voila:

Can't remember if 182/172 have them, on the back of disc a metal plate that's meant to sheild heat and debris.
Stones get stuck betweent the sheild and disk, and start sounding horrific. Gentle push on the sheild and out they pop.
