With the vibratecnics engine and gearbox mount, the dog bone is largely irrelevant. Best 300 quid I spent on the car, in fact no, best thing I ever did to the car. Gearstick doesn’t move a millimetre under accel or decel, which should tell you all you need to know.

Throw your engine mounts away, and fit Vibratecnics. I mucked about for ages with standard mounts.

I really need to get my exhaust re-packed. The system itself is a Mongoose which is still in good shape - but it's had 10 years of use so I doubt there's anything left in the silencers. If this snow and ice and grit could just jog on, that would be grand.

It's at the age where anything rubber is going to want replacing. If you've got budget, go round the whole car with new bushings/TREs/ARB-links. It will feel like a new car.
