They can be tricky to see the difference in some forms of light. Only in bright light are the differences clearly obvious.
When I was trying to find a set for mine, even the sellers sometimes were unsure as to which ones they had.
It’s a subtle difference, but a big improvement for me. I...
Stumbled across this Google docs link for ACC.
Some useful features in it - I didn’t know about the extended input option on the controls so that you can assign two controls to one input. One action for click, another for holding it down...
I used the following three products. Got the primer and paint from Amazon and the acrylic from The Range as an afterthought.
Plasti-kote 25001 400ml Primer - Black
Plasti-kote 23101 400ml Premium Spray Paint - Matt Black
Plasti-kote 24002 400ml Premium Spray Paint - Matt Clear Acrylic
In...
Fitted them in earlier. A big improvement, but not flawless by my (lack of) spraying skills! They started to get some dust on them within seconds it seemed, but at least they can be wiped with a cloth easily now.
And yep - I'll activate the passenger air-bag again when I next get back in it. :)
It's a very weird predicament to be in with that. Even with money to burn - £300k for a car that although extremely nice, was simply a special model Scooby is a bit insane.
And if you had £300k to blow on a car - would you really be looking at a rally-inspired 4-door saloon car?
Surely for...
Have you had the sump off at all?
My oil pickup was clogged with silicone when it had the engine rebuild recently. How/why/when that happened is anyone's guess - but in the past it looks like an oil seep has been plugged using silicone and that over time has been ingested by the pickup.
How...
I'll say again with ACC - the game itself is very impressive, but the audio I just don't know how they have got it so good. Watched a bit of the replay of that Alpine earlier and the tonal changes in the engine and small backfires and the over-run - just so realistic and not out of place.
I...
The GT4 PACK DLC includes:
Alpine A110 GT4 (7 new liveries)
Aston Martin Vantage GT4 (7 new liveries)
Audi R8 LMS GT4 (4 new liveries)
BMW M4 GT4 (8 new liveries)
Chevrolet Camaro GT4R (2 new liveries)
Ginetta G55 GT4 (1 new liveries)
KTM X-Bow GT4 (3 new liveries)
Maserati MC GT4 (1 new...
Bought the GT4 DLC last night but have only managed to have a quick practice this morning so far.
Being the GT4 class, the whole sense of speed and acceleration has shifted down slightly and is far less frantic. Picked the Alpine of course and headed of around the full Brands Circuit. Looking...
I must have been just bloody lucky with mine then!
The one that went last September was the OEM part - and now its replacement has followed suit. No worries - I'll get another ordered.
The biggest issue I have with it is getting that tail-gate plastic cover to line back up with the clips!
Right - this solenoid has gone again - each time it sounds like it's grinding gears when the car is locked/unlocked. I suspect the lovely black crown wheel at the end is gradually getting stripped by the motor gear beneath it.
It was barely a tenner for the part back in October - but it worth...
I’m just in the lacquer sealing phase of these. One coat on already - I’ll put another on later this evening....

Next step done. Went over them for a few minutes with a fine grit paper. Got rid of the last bits without any need for further chemicals. Plus, it keyed the plastic a little for the primer - even though it probably didn’t need it.
Using the primer, in several light coatings, it certainly...
Not wanting to frustrate you more, but double-check and then double-check again.
It took a Renault dealership three attempts to get the correct one for mine. Now they could have just been plain numpties and ordered a bin bag and a block of cheese on the first two attempts. But I got the...
To be fair Mossy, I put them in a warm bucket of hot water and Fairy liquid mix and left for an hour. Came back with a sponge scourer and the result on the right was literally a couple of minutes of going over with the sponge.
I'd say it's got rid of at 95%+ of the sticky crap that was on there...
Does sound brake/calliper related. As @Conor L says - a simple temperature check might help track down the issue. Be careful though, I've done it in the past where my fingers got too close to a calliper and those things can get HOT.
Alternatively - front wheel bearing perhaps? Not sure how they...
Is the clock off completely? Nothing at all on it?
Mine faded at one side on the 182 - so that only half of the display was visible. With any form of backlight coming into the car itself, I couldn't see anything on there.
A few months later, I ended up replacing the battery and instantly the...
I’ll give you that. The 306 doesn’t look ‘that’ bad as such - certainly a hell of an improvement over some 205 examples.
I mean, does this come with a free retina transplant with the purchase?
So a perfectly fine 205 GTi is wrapped up in this? Like planning a date with a classy model...
Well - that's me joining the ranks of Savile then.
Absolutely detest Dimma kits. For comparison, the hacksaw job that Wayne and his mates do to his 1.1 Peugeot from stolen Ford Focus body panels - look as artistic as the Sistine Chapel.
If one word sums up the worst of the peak of the Max...
