Back in 2000, I got a loan for my RT over 5 years. Christ, its like a prison sentence, Id still have another 12 months to go. I paid extra payments and got it cleared after 36 months. Got my current car over 36, have 24 left and that still feels like ages. 5 years is only good if its a new car...
Plus dont forget youll still have to find money for yearly servicing (not cheap at all), exhausts, brakes, tyres...
I nearly bought a Cup earlier this year. I could afford the car (just) and the insurance but what stopped me is that after all my other bills for rent, mobile etc, it didnt leave...
£200 a month for insurance?! WTF?! Youre crazy for even considering this. Every person you see out on the roads who has a decent car started somewhere lower down.
Dont let pride get in the way of your finances. A 1.6 is more than enough for your first car. £200 a month ins would buy you...
No we dont have yellow RTs here.
(What happened to my post on this thread where I posted the other day that we only have yellow 1.2s with black bumpers? And I said we had awful bronze 1.2s too. I saw it posted?!)
Ill be surprised if anyone has a Baccara?
For those not in the know it was basically a top of the range RT circa 1994, it was 1.8 Auto (wasnt it?!) with grey leather interior. Only ever seen one.
Anyone got one? Gotta be the rarest ever Clio, even more than the 1.1
Ph1 has the two bar grille, ph2 single bar. Ph1 has narrow bump strips with like a channel running through it, ph2 wider and smooth. Theyre the quickest way of telling. There are others like mirrors, rear lights, alloys, position of side 16v badge (ph1 on side indicator, ph2 on door bump strip).
It really is good, but it really is strong. Ive got slight cracks in places on the lacquer and it gets under and makes it look worse eventually. Water it down a touch.
Valver - the original 16v Clio, the 1764cc variety, it was the only one in that shape that was 16v.
New ones the 1.2 16vs, 1.4 16vs etc are NOT valvers.
And dont confuse valver with vulva.
Ive had my VTS 11 months now. Still yet to race a valver. No way do they handle crap. Mines rapid in a straight line. Wheres the fun in racing in a straight line anyway?
My old RT did that. Not sure if its really meant to but never caused any problems in the 58k miles I did taking it up to 107k miles.

Thats what I used. So everyone who laughed, shove that up yer ass!
There was no definite implication that the original poster was talking about oil additive.
You can get stuff for the petrol too, i just read the original post wrong!
I bought fuel additive stuff to try to solve crappy idle, like I say it made it worse. Not tried an oil additive. A new engine shouldnt need this stuff, just make sure you use a quality oil from new.
