Wouldnt cost much. I got rear arch de-rusted and sprayed for £80.
If anyone says smooth the rear at the same time - resist! Personally I think it looks odd and under-specced if it has no rear wiper. Just my opinion though.
Thats a ph2 isnt mate? Dissappointing to see rust there on a ph2, got...
I think if its valued at more than £5000 then fully comp is compulsary. Personally I would never go tpft unless I have a banger. The difference in tpft and fc here is probably about another £500 but worth it if you write off the car. Tpft youll get nothing back, fc you will. If youre trying to...
Springs and damper on front - replace springs with lowering springs to lower the front. Changing the dampers too will improve handling.
Rear uses damper and torsion bar - no spring. If you just want to lower it, you can just adjust the torsion bar. Handling, then change the damper too.
"Theyre all the same except for some 2000 models:
The 130bhp you refer to is the 2000 plate models W/X (mines an X), they came with upto 130bhp as Citroen tinkered with the exhaust and got more bhp out, but by the time Y reg came, new EU emission laws meant it was restricted taking the power...
I was gonna move over as soon as he started closing (as if I werent even racing lol) but he never did, so I just stayed there until I broke down for a red lighted Rbt which he blatantly went through. Chicken (lol), could have been a mint traffic light grand prix LN5* X*F
Ive had my VTS for nearly a year now. Its a 130bhp model.
It is fecking rapid.
I dont go looking for races as such but all Ive had vs clios are a short 2nd gear pelt vs a 172; nothing in it til about 80 when we braked for a RBt and went seperate ways. And vs a cup, I was in front, I knew...
To be honest, its been more fun driving my VTS since I had the 16v badges knicked, I get far more cars trying it on, to much amusement when they work out its a VTS.
Badging up a car falsely is just an inferiority complex - which is why I cant be bothered to put the 16v badges back on, I dont...
Black latest shape Clio driving around north east (today in South Shields) with not just silver 16v badges on the rub strips but 2.0 16v badges. What a joker. Looked nothing better than a 1.2/1.4

Why do people do this? It just makes people think theyve wasted a 172. I hate it when...
Not certain but dont complain. I find a lot of companies do this. My mate got a quote for his old Puma of £1000. With his mam on, it was £600?!
I think its got something to do with if say you plan doing 10k miles a year, and youre sharing the driving, the car is less at risk for part of the...
Renault could have and should have gotten more power out of the 1.6, I get 130horses from my standard VTS (rare 130 model unlike the usual 120). If they had of, thered probably be less VTRs on the road as more people would have gone for the Clio. At the peak of the Saxos popularity there was...
I have mine on as second driver - brings it down £150, she never drives it though but she can if she needs too!
As far as no claims go, she has her own car if she crashes hers, she loses her no claims, mine is fine.
If she crashes my car, it would have to go through under my insurance so...
My RT used to run really hot as the radiator was clogged up through age. Never got the warning light coming on, but so close a few times. Try turning your internal heaters on full and on 3 and roll windows down to let the warm air out if you dont want to cook yourself. The internal heater works...
Always tell them. I declared coded mirrors as exterior decorative changes on my old Clio. I declared the lowering too.
Even if you have only tpft you should declare them. What say you crash into the back of an expensive car and your insurers inspect your car. They look for the slightest reason...
Theres a which bulb fits my car thing down the left hand side.
Mention cliosport.net and they refund 10% too....

Bet it was like most mk1 clios that did this, like mine... its caused by the engine and gearbox moving slightly when turning right and the gearbox mount rubs on the bend in the exhaust. If you ever got the car up on a lift youd see. Drove me nuts for a year, thought the axle was gonna snap or...
