thanks people. now the question is which do you think are better, i must say, on the 5 turbos, ive owned they seem to be much better, or is it just me.
basically are the the same? ie part number. i need some to replace the 4 pots on my turbo, but 2 different companys are telling me 2 different things.
any help appreciated.
the way i see it, the cars never going on a track, and ive tried 2 sets of pads, and the benifits, just dont warrent, the constant noise from them. it's just getting to the stage where its embarrasing to drive it around anywhere near a town centre, or car park.
sounds like an engine mount gone to me, as you load it up as you pull away it moves, and when your moving it does'nt? that sound about right?
to try it out drive slowly and then give it a pasting and it should make the same sound. if it does then a engine mount is buggered
i have had these for a few months, on the willy turbo, and they are great, apart from the way the pads squeel like a pig at mating time. if you stand on them they are fine, if you just creeping in traffic they're a nightmare, unless your deaf. ive tried changing to mintex 1144 paqds and...
on my valvers, ive had everything from 15-18's on it and with out doubt, the bigger wheels, in my veiws, made absolutly, bugger all difference. didnt slow them down any and still went like well. granted, none of them had standard suspension, but i could tell any difference, ither on road or...
had these on the willy turbo for a couple of months, and they have always been the same. if you brake sharpley, no problem, but at low speed, or if you gradually come to a stop they squeel like a bast*rd. i have changed the standard pads, to mintex ones, and have bought shares in copper...
basically, the is a heatshield above the exhaust below the handbrake. remove this. then you will see a u shaped metal bracket with some adjustable nuts on it, turn these until the cable are tight, andd then put car back together
im waiting on a load of polished engine parts, so should look really shiny. i know what you mean about willy wheels, but there are a few round here and all look the same, this ones a bit different. i may well change them in the furture but for now i does me.
im not a fan of willy wheels to be honest, but may be in the future. you never know. and yes i did own the marble, kitted clio thing a few years back.
i thought it was time to go back to standardish.
as for quater miletimes. havent got a clue, never done timed runs in it.
i did own a naples valver, one with a willy lump and one with a 5 turbo lump and mad paintwork.
as for the plate, i have never been stopped once. round here if you drive like a to%%er they will pull you if you don't they leave you alone. i think the plate gets more attention than the car!
shell has been de locked, tailgate runs from alarm. runs kw adjustable coilovers, and sits as low as it can for normal driving (speed humps)
has new ultraleggeras, and new willwood dynalite's.
engine has a t28, charge cooler, waiting on a oil cooler, and the usual turbo bits. i was told by...
