Getting a 1.8 to that level isn't cheap 2.0 bottom end from a Megan or a Williams engine is a beter idea with cams.
You might be suprised the cost of shipping.
You might get the engine for £500 but then there all the ECU looms etc you need.
1.4 box can be used but its not ideal...
Don't pay that money Matt Black might have some engine back in stock evena enw one plus fitment would be cheaper. A second hand engine plus fitement is cheaper than fixing yours.
Whoever did the belt made a mistake its ajusted so its not to tight. Or they've not used the right tools. I'd...
You should have taken it back or mentioned it right away as a garage I'd be dubious about paying for it as you could have knocked the tracking out curbing the car etc.
Ballencing of the wheels is a few quid a tyre get the tracking checked thats most likly the issue. Also check condition of the...
Shouldn't be any drain sounds liek you've a wiring problem easy way it to unplug bits until the drain stops.
Check the batterys any good might just be worn.
Try Yozzasport for disk I'm sure there cheaper. As for groved etc forget it unless you want looks.
You should change disks and pads at the same time realy for ease.
Cambelt was warentied to last 72k/5years so yep your time is getting close to what Renault said most change them at 60k/4years as...
Cpied from this thread http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=107873
Normal servicing is done ever 12k or 2 yrs there is a 1 month/1k tolerance so you can have it done up to 25month or 13k before any warranty implications. Beyond this time/warranty period you maybe asked by Renault for...
If your on about a normal one then nope theres torque for the bolts etc but not for the belt. The tensioer tensions the system.
The Cups are tensioner by the alternator so they are 183 Hz ± 9 .
They mean the TDC sensor by the sounds, could be unlikly though then again there usless realy. Worth chaaging it anyway regardless £25 for a new one rom Renault plus £25 for the new wiring loom.
The resiter pack has gone you need to either fix it (BrianR I think will tell you how) or or your not as willing to give that a go there £80 or so from Renault new dead eays to fit just under the scuttle panel its most likly siting in a puddel of water of damp.
All phase 2's should run electric theres a few apparently which don't but I've yet to see them.
If it does then either
1) Use the electric one
2) Wire the pump up to the 1.8 engine its desinged for a PAS pump anyway plus you'd need to remove the PAS pump and sort the AUx belt out so its one...
Sounds like you just need to learn how to drive the car fully first braking whilst going round the bend is the first problem plus your most likly lifting off the front of the car dives. Weight transfers to the front the rear don't have any grip and it come out on you.
