I think that's a little harsh. Colin Mcrae used to crash all the time and people have fond memories of him. Just because he's American and didn't win anything doesn't make him useless. I can't help thinking you're a little biased towards the old mk1 lol.
It's entertainment.
While he may not be the best rally driver or 'crazy' as the OP suggests, it's bringing Motorsport to the masses. I'd love to do what he's doing, I think people forget that he's just a co-founder of a shoe company.
The last one was, although I might still chuck some winter tyres on it just in case.
Speaking of which, I took this photo from my house last night which I thought came out pretty good...
LOL at the benders comment!
Maybe some people couldn't give a sh!t?
They're a cheap, reliable, economical and fun little car that's a break from the Saxo's and Corsa's that most people go for.
I think their lack of sleek lines is part of the appeal IMO.
Re: Picking up my rb 200 tomorrow after work!! heres my story & plans .. ideas welcom
H&R springs are good, but a little crashy with cup suspension. As yours isn't you'll be fine.
Sold it no problem dude, I had loads of interest in it and it went straight away. I think the spec helped it sell.

Not long lol.
After an argument with my parents I agreed to go back to one car, so that meant either keeping a 1.2 Fiesta or an MX-5. I needed practicality so sold both and bought this, and haven't looked back. I thought I'd miss the Mazda, but I'm having plenty of fun in the Ignis so I'm quite contented...
It's surprising how much appreciation there is for them considering they're essentially an ugly 1.5 Japanese city car, but wherever I go someone always says something positive about them. It was great to see another on track, and the owner was a really sound fella too!
Ever since selling my Ignis I've kinda missed it, and after struggling to find something to replace both my MX-5 and Fiesta I decided to buy another to tie me over until the Spring at least.
£1400 later and I had this on the driveway...
The previous owner was a student and hadn't really...
Well... I've bought an Asus laptop from Tesco Direct, and it's sh!t.
I haven't been able to connect to the WiFi for the last two days, and when I do it's slower than my eight year old Packard Bell with no free space. It can't cope with playing a video in 1080p either.
Here's the link, it...
First of all, is your car going to be road legal or are you building a specific track car? Your car doesn't have to be taxed or insured but it will need be to be relatively roadworthy ie:- mechanically safe, with decent brakes and tyres.
Trackdays vary massively depending on venue and time of...
The Ignis is one of those special little cars that you either appreciate or you don't. It's the 'Gangham Style' of the motoring world... A quirky, addictive and annoyingly fun little car. It's got a decent gearbox, positive steering with playful handling along with a perky little engine that...
