i would advise using a catch tank
i ran my pug with just a breather filter on and it made the inside of the car stink! lol so i ended up getting a catch tank. also there is a chance of oil getting everywhere using just a filter
so u want to go from the breather outlet to a catch tank, then...
there are 2 pipes going to the catch tank on the 1st pic (second one is hard to see)
the pipe going towards the front of the car will just be the breather that goes to atmosphere, the other pipe goes round onto the back of the plenham onto the oil breather outelt iirc
as standard the oil...
as in competitive racing? or just track days?
if its competetive you will need to get a copy of the regulations for that race series and build the car so it complies
if its just for trackdays you have loads more options
yeh i set up the fpr when i fit it, so i didnt see much need
and as you said running standard mgmt so not alot i could do about afr without a remap?
and as for exhaust gas temp, i dont really see the need for that either?
right so far i have a water temp gauge, oil pressure gauge and am about to order my oil temp gauge
out of this choice, what other would you monitor, or would you not bother and just go with what i have already?
choice is:
fuel pressure
air/fuel ratio
exhaust gas temp
comments please :)
i'm sorry but if this goes all the way to court he has more of an arguement than you do!
unless these points have been cleared up already: (sorry i haven't read the full thread)
he can say he was trying to avoid a cat/dog whatever and thats why he moved without indication
what proof (other...
looks like that here  or it did this morning, gone to slush now :(
had a nice lie in as alot of the roads were closed until the snow plough (sp?) had done its bit, 11am start ftw!
yep :D i removed my standard load bias valve and replaced it with an adjustable one, just down by the gear lever, my brake lines also run inside the car.
i see what you did there :o
i think its the whole sci fi thing, my brother is shocked and ashamed i have never watched a single star wars film
awaits flaming from the geeks........
i never really took much interest in this game when it first came out, but after reading this every day (normally just to see what comedy scutch has come up with :o) i think i might have to get it!
never been a fan of zombie/sci fi type fps/rpg games, but this game seems to have alot of depth...
yeh found the manual rack on ebay, brand new for about £20. not an oe part but has done the trick, and yes you will need the manual column as they are a different length. if you have any problems just give me a shout and i will help you the best i can.
yeh thats what i was getting at before Fred, but as he has left it all in place and just used a smaller belt it will fail
i removed my power steering and abs, using a manual rack now and have no trace of abs left, simplicity ftw :D
well no wonder, if you just disable the pump and leave everything in place it will be classed as a hazard because the steering will become very heavy compared to a standard manual rack
link to the site?
if there is no record or trace of the car having PAS how will the tester know?
*do you mean disconnect the pas pump and leave the pas rack on though?*
i tell you what, it's a smaller world than you think, the estimate from jcc came to my work (insurance assessor) and one of the engineers in my team authorised the repairs :D
when you mentioned albany i did a quick search for your reg on our system, and hey presto, i'm looking at images of it...
hmm i'm stumped then, unless the cable is wrong
so when you attach it there is no slack at all, and the butterfly is fully open, so the cable is pulled right through the sleeve until it gets stopped by the pedal connector on the end?
edit: sorry if this is maybe a bit patronising as i dont...
how far up the 'adjuster' have you got the little circlip
by adjuster i mean the black pecil type thing with grooves on (adjusts how far the butterfly is open)
i'll try and find a pic to show what i'm waffling about lol
iirc there are 2 slots on the throttle 'wheel' that can be used? i'm pretty sure i had the same sort of problem on my conversion until i realised there were 2 slots, one is further back than the other :)
sometimes the hose can be ever so slightly twisted (not bad enough to cause a kink) and when full lock is applied it manages to curl itself into the tyre
who fit them? as it should be checked on full lock when first fit
Re: My mk1 track car blog
right it didn't rain at all over the weekend  so i manaqged to get a few hours in
got my mocal oil cooler mounted up, just need to put the sandwich plate in place and put the oil filter on
and a pic from the front, nice and subtle
i also...
