Plastic back window, erm and that's about it isn't it? oh, and some stickers.
Edit: I think shocks and springs are different due to the lower weight (Where does the weight saving come from other than the glass and back seats?)
Mentions our very own Steve @R-Sport Cars LTD.
Whilst I agree on the MPG, I never got much more than 25mpg out of mine. I'm not so convinced RE the gearboxes, I think they are no worse than any other car really, they just get abused a lot (plus you only ever hear from people with a problem...
It's not really a 6 month warranty, it's just your consumer rights.
Also it's only applicable to issues that are thought to have been present at the time of purchase. If it was working fine when you bought it and 3 months down the line the gearbox breaks then it's tough luck. It's very possible...
Any pictures? It could be the lacquer that's faded (if so then a good polish may help) or it could be the paint (respray time). You won't know until you come to polish it really.
They shouldn't fade just because they are plastic, but it's possible that they have been painted since it left the...
What's making you say the alternator is 'going'? a bad battery can give similar issues to a dodgy alternator.
If it hasn't stopped functioning yet then it'll get you to a garage, just make sure you go in the daylight and use as few electrical items as possible and it'll be fine. Years ago I had...
Thanks to those who took it in the lighthearted way it was intended. I don't even own a Clio, why would I care what people call them! It was a tongue in cheek post.
Oh and I'm sure we have enough grammar police on here already, we don't need another. And as for the post above, I'm not sure...
Not the website of course, long may it live. I mean the use of the term 'Clio Sport'
It's just wrong. Either call it a 172, 182, 197, 200 etc or use Renault Sport Clio.
And yes, I realise Renault have released Clio Sport's before, but they aren't the same thing and not what they term 'Clio...
Sounds like every 197 I've ever seen or been in inc the one I owned for 2 years. They are all a lumpy and need to be heavily revved to get them moving.
When I rebuilt the ones on my R27 I just did all the seals, the pistons were fine. If they're off the car then just pop the pistons out, if they have any corrosion on the important bit then change them.
I did a full guide on rebuilding and painting a set, I'll see if I can dig it out. It has...
Everything (movies, sports, box sets etc), 2TB main box, 1 mini box. £35 a month and £10 install cost. 12 month contract and 12 month discount.
That's just for TV, my internet and phone is with Virgin Media. The package I'm on should be about £90 a month, oh and I was a new customer so that...
It's an N/A car, so the map will have made virtually no difference to top end performance. It will (hopefully) have made it a bit smoother throughout the rev range, but other than that it'll be the same as any other MK3 Clio 200
It's working fine for me. On the image I wanted to link I just clicked on the IMG box of the 'share this photo' section and pasted in in this reply.
To be honest, photobucket is crap anyway and you would be better off using flickr.
That's not really the case though. You can easily tell if you've prepped the surface properly with the first coat of primer. Most of the defects on the wifes car and on Ant1's M5 would have been visible well before any colour and lacquer was put on. There's just no excuse for it.
My wife's (no) car has had 2 repairs. Once for a rear quarter by Just Car clinics and the rear bumper by VW.
The rear quarter took them 3 attempts to get right and the rear bumper twice (and that was at a VW main dealer).
Both thankfully didn't cost us anything as they were insurance repairs...
