I've still got mine after several months of car shopping to replace it, the trouble is it's hard to find something better for the money that is built like a Honda. Sure, a Clio is more 'fun' but the Civic just feels like a nicer car to own.
I think all Mr Harris was trying to say is that the MX-5 isn't as amazing as many people claim, which is fair enough. My Type-R gets plenty of good reviews and remains one of the best hot hatches ever made... It has also sold by the bucket load, but in my opinion the driving experience is rather...
Shame he didn't discuss alternatives to the MX-5 more, although I will be taking a closer look at 205 Gti's. I can't imagine an old Peugeot being reliable though.
I did Donington the other week with standard discs and DS2500 pads. Very impressed with the lack of brake fade, not a patch on the 197 though when it comes to stopping!
...And he doesn't make stupid comedy comparisons like Jeremy Clarkson. Informative car reviewing isn't so common these days, everyone's scared of bad press.
I'm always up Cannock :) The chances of you seeing me out in Cannock are 99.5% lol.
This is my old one...
The Civic is a better 'car' but the Clio was much more fun. :)
I've got a Grey Type-R and a Jimny, I used to have a Red 197 like yours :).
You may have seen some of my cars in the past, they've all had 'S8 BMX' as their reg.
