Check the oil level, water level. Get a new battery on there.
Dissconect the coil pack and crank it over to get the oil circulated.
Then plug it back in and start it.
If you turn the ignition on and it goes out, its working as it should. Next step is to get a diagnostics test. Not just fault codes but with someone that knows what they are looking at with the live information.
Not being funny, but you havnt put petrol in it have you? Iv seen it so many times...
I have a full set of suspension from my old ph1 172. Would it be an upgrade if I bolted it onto my dci? Or even just fit the springs if the hub spacing is not the same?
Never heard of that one. I input the code via the stalk controls with the wheel on the back and the bottom button. Check all the fuses once again mate.
Oh and to cure the hazards problem, you will need a new alarm unit.
Not being funny but I would be checking fuses 1st bud. Check ALL the fuses one by one. Satnav and radio are not fed by the UCH in any way so the problem will lie else ware. Has yours got an alarm also?
Take off the fuse box cover. Undo the 3/4 screws in there.
Under the pastic trim down and to the left of the glove box theres a 13mm bolt, undo that and it then should be loose.
Un do the 3/4 connectors and remove.
For the time it will take you, your better off taking the head off and doing it by the book. Its a piece of piss on the D7f and by the sounds of it your not too shy with the spanners.
